    You know why Loma is hard to hit, he uses alot of head movement, and when he goes in and out using short explosive hops followed up with small circular foot work and motion to sustain strong offense while being almost completely in motion. In addition based on what I have seen in his footwork he moved around while maintaining a strong, balanced, and centered stances. In other words he maintains stances that ensure that he is centered with his mass whilst being in constant motion peppering you.

      make it 11 and he just embarrassed the #7 p4p boxer into quitting, faking a broken hand. Stop going off quantity of fights, go off quality. Hes never versed a losing record or debuting boxer. He's only been in 1 non title fight. He won his first title in match 3, defended it 3 times. Went up in weight, won the title, defended it 4 times making all 4 fighters quit. These are not schmucks or nobodies. 3 undefeated knock out artists, no one had more than 4 losses other than salido. • @dank1j

      Indeed. Always liked Pernell the best, but Roy Jones came along and knocked people out with a triple left hook faster than a blink and full power. Lomachenko is great but he is standing on top of Roy Jones.

    • @k-dash7245
      @k-dash7245 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      It's not just the angles, but the footwork and balance he has when switching to those angles. Even Roy Jones Jr. didn't have that kind of footwork - if anything, his footwork was his biggest weakness and it showed in his older years when his speed and reflexes faded. I asked myself what would RJJ be like if he had better footwork, and the answer is Lomachenko.

And only 7 fights ( by then ) can only mean he's just getting started......but the DIFFERENCE is in reality, the guy does really have a lifetime of boxing experience due to his insanely long amateur boxing career...........nearly 400 fights. Anyone who thinks "he lacks true power" needs to go watch the fight where he took that 2nd belt. One of the most vicious KO's I've seen from a super feather weight in a very long time. And one of the most impressive wins barr none. HE'S LIKE A GHOST ON ICE SKATES IN THE RING, BUT PACKING A 9 mm IN EACH HAND. People who say that Lomachenko is untested might not be taking into consideration his absolutely stellar amateur record, the fact that he competed at the Olympic level and is also a trained dancer with years of experience. What sets apart Lomachenko the most, for me, is the footwork and way in which he can control the fight by forcing his opponent to spend too much time trying to find him to be able to block him. I'm not anywhere close to being as capable or professional as this man is in the ring, but it feels good to know that my instinctive approach to boxing is at least similar to someone like this.

    The reason why nobody does the inside hop like Tyson and Lomachenko is because it's a high risk move. Tyson... well, younger Tyson under D'amato and Rooney's guidance was able to do it because of his impeccable defense. Loma on the other hand just has mind boggling reflexes, speed, and balance.

    He is fortunate that the is not facing the likes of Pacman, Arguello, young Duran or Salvador Sanchez.
    He already is 33 years, there is no more improvement coming and his skills are already in decline.

    People who used to do boxing in former USSR countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and etc) they know that this is a basics of soviet union boxing school. Me personally I used to do boxing for 4 years when I was teenager because my dad is boxing coach. All this moves which Loma does during his fights we start to learn it from the first training as a basics. So Loma not and innovator of this technique but his style is pure example of soviet union boxing school. If you will watch fights of amateur boxers from soviet union in 70s and 80s you will see that Loma's style are similar with them.
