Great video, thanks for the information. Maybe run the chain up to speed before hitting the wood… I got that tip while watching another video, seems a reasonable suggestion.
Thanks for the video. The first number designates the CC range, so #3 indicates about 55 to 65 CC. The second number designates pro or home owner model: even number is pro model, , odd number is homeowner. the third digit indicates the number of the upgrade, so the 362 is 59CC pro, second upgrade from the 360 model (Like a bigger fuel tank)
I have one with a 25" bar as well. Running a full chisel skip chain and it shreds. I use my 261 a lot more as it's lighter, but the full wrap handle on the 362 is nice for extra options when felling on a hillside. Noticably more power also.
I recently bought the Stihl MS 661 CM and I feel the same way about my saw. Also got the Husky 592 XP which is another great saw. Good vid and glad you're enjoying your saw.
I have a new 261, a 460 and a 660 and soon I will get a 362. That's why I watched this video. It will be my limbing saw and will have a 28" bar with skip tooth on it. If you're interested I advise putting on a Bark Box, filter and dogs from West Coast saws onto your saw. Also a bash plate from Custom chainsaw parts. And a wrap handle for felling. Oh, by the way, I bought the Stihl Egg and they are awful. They leak water and fill up when left outside in the rain. I will never do that again. I don't even use the one I bought. And when I put the WCS dogs on the 261 it doesn't fit in the egg. I suppose that's not Stihl's fault. They are rubbish.
Great video, maybe bring the chain up to speed before starting the cut… I got that tip from another video, seems a reasonable suggestion to me. Good luck with your new saw, stay safe.
Nice saw I got one earlier this year running the 16" stihl light 06 bar and its really nice. Nice to see it could drive a 25" aswell!!! I'm in the UK 🇬🇧
I think generally people don't use long bars in the UK if it's not necessary better be lighter and less fatigue also the saw feels very lively with a shorter bar. I think this would be the same for most pro fellers across Europe. I have a pro mac 850 with a 32" on for larger trunks.
Nice saw and video! I would prefer an 18" Bar. It's lighter, chains are cheaper and has better performance. With the right technique it cuts up to 30 inches.
@@moppedmann123Looks like that works, I prefer to do one easy cut like I do in the video, I have them up on the tractor so having to go over vertical is just extra messing around for me. :)
Run that saw. Have her up to speed before entering wood. Your lugging it and you’ll get excessive oil build up and carbon. There made to run wide open.
port that puppy and see how it runs after that. I have one, a 066 mag, a460 mag and a 038 mag 2 and they all have been ported. they run so much cooler and the power they develope.
All you going to do is add the fuel additive and you don't have to worry about it. you don't need to buy already mixed fuel it's ridiculous and the price is crazy. been doing it for 40 years.
Sharpen u chain mate and all u troubles are done n dusted, 362 is the best in its class ! It's so annoying when people don't know what they doing, but mishandle a saw !

Bought one of these last year ago. Have used it about 20 hours. I love it. I'm 81 years old and it works well for me.
Glad to hear! Thanks!

Cool info, thank you!
@@JohnVHLife you are welcome. After thinking it over, I think the 180 is an exception since it's a homeowners saw with an even middle number
I like how you use your tractor forks saves the back
Thanks! Part of my justification for buying it! I’ll have a video out soon on how I process wood too!
I have the 362 cm myself and I love it 😎
I bought MS 362C in March 2023. Working perfectly.
Just used mine again monday for a bunch of cutting, I love it!

I kind of regret not getting the full wrap. But still love the saw!
Does your 362 have the full wrap handle? If so, does it fit in a standard saw case or do you have to get a special case for it?
I recently bought the Stihl MS 661 CM and I feel the same way about my saw.

Good vid and glad you're enjoying your saw.
Nice purchase. Skip tooth chain or full comp on it with the 24" bar?
Thanks.its a skip
Impressive cutting mate, will a 25inch bar be to big for the oiler ??? Thinking of buying that saw ! Kindly advise Gunter
Seems to be
Has an adjustable oiler on the bottom. Wide open I'll use my 28inch bar

A 16 on a 362? Wow, thats really small on there. Im so happy with the power with the 25", some said it was too much, but its not!
