Amazing how good basic cars are today. Many of those features are ones you couldn't have gotten at any price ten years ago and you get both 0-60 in a little over 6 seconds and 50mpg from them. Mindbending numbers.
@@madams8632 well my friend that is called ✨inflation✨ back in the day you could buy a Civic for $15,000 but you gotta remember that back in the day the average pay was 6 dollars an hour. ✨inflation✨
@@michael96701 a 2000 Honda Civic ex cost 17,245.00. Adjusted for inflation that is $32,134.14. the prices really aren't up relative to inflation and the cars are far nicer than a generation ago.
I'm really considering this car, it would be my first brand new car purchase! It just gets so hot here for leather seats.. curious how it compares to the 2025 Accord Hybrid
The Hybrid Sport is basically a Sport with the hybrid drivetrain and a sunroof. And the body color trim piece under the headlights and front lower chin strip instead of black. And no auto start/stop, tire inflator kit instead of a spare tire. The Sport is still a very nice car, especially with the 2025 updates if you want the lower price and simplicity and less complication than the hybrid drivetrain, but if you want the extra performance, the Hybrid Sport is the way to go unless you can afford the Sport Touring and must have the Bose Stereo, leather seats and all the other upgrades.
No actually. You get a bigger screen, wireless Apple Car play and the Bose system. However, I can’t justify the 3k difference. Not getting the same screen is more of the deal bigger. He went over the differences also in the video.
@calebniederhofer6529 Isn't the essentially what I said in the last half of my comment? If you can afford it, and must have all the extra options. It's up you, no one is twisting anyone's arm to get the Sport Touring Hybrid.
What does “dynamic” drive modes mean? Is that different than typical drive modes? Basically, is he saying the Sport trim *doesn’t* have drive modes? Or does it just have basic ones whereas the Sport Touring has some sort of advanced drive modes?
Ok so we get leather power heated seats and steering wheel. Moon roof, 18 in wheels with sound deadening, 9in screen with Google car play,Bose sound system parking sensors and probably a couple other goodies I'm missing. Yes I think that's worth an extra 3 grand. Still a great deal. I'm waiting for the hatchback I already have one order from my dealer
Honda should have used the Insight tail lamp design here, it would have ROCKED in the looks department. This sedan tail lamp is very Miss. It would have been better a bit slanted upwards instead of slanting downwards or red bordered the whole tail lamp.
$3000, more, and no lumbar seat support, height feature for passenger seat, flat- bottom (or heated) steering wheel, pano roof, rear driver seat pocket, rear vents or USB, no power rear hatch, or soft rear upper doors. Most of these are available in Europe and Asia, but NOT for Americans.
are you aware why that's the case? i just don't get it. i have seen Corolla trims in india called 2.5G that look like a mini lexus. the one's sold in the US look pathetic.
Very little has changed from the 11th Gen. 2022 Honda Civic Touring MSRP $30,245 includes Destination Fee of $1,095 and the 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid MSRP $32,845 incl. dest. fee.. Yeah! There is a noticeable difference between 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid you get 200HP vs 2022 Touring gets 180HP. Missing are Fog Lamps on 2025. No more silver/chrome trim outlining the side windows. Ugly tail lights on the 2025 and neither the 2022 or 2025 have Passenger Lumbar support or memory seats. If it has the Auto Idle-Stop button, buy the IdleStopper device which is easy to install and it does not void any Honda vehicle warranty. Auto Insurance cost on any Hybrid vehicle is higher that an ICE (all gasoline) vehicle. The if it is an EV you'll pay even more for auto insurance. I'm not a Hybrid or EV supporter, but I like amenities and faux leather seats, so I would get the Sport Hybrid. It cost $2,600 more to have the 2025 Civic Sport Hybrid but you do get better MPG and an extra 20HP. Problem is you could get a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE for less $$ that has more space, head room, more HP, and bit lower MPG for under $30,000. The Camry also rates higher in reliability and slightly better resale value than the Civic. Civic is nice for small sized people and to sup-up/modify, but if have a family get the Camry.
The Civic fits tall people just fine. I'm 6 foot and fit behind the driver's seat without trouble. Also, the Sport Touring is a MUCH nicer place to be than the cheap Camry. The hybrid Civic drives better and is way smoother. Go drive them back to back and see how you feel. The hybrid Civic is much better than its numbers would indicate.
The people who cry about prices are often the same people who cry that a vehicle doesn’t have every single luxury feature including the ones that didn’t even exist five years ago. They drive the prices up and then complain that they got what they asked for.
Disconnect the Battery and tell me if you can open the doors! There's no rods in the doors so if the battery goes dead you can't get in or out of the car! Big time safety concern!
@@Malikofff…Lol, You’ll figure it out when the battery dies and you can’t get in or out of your car! I think Kilmer has a video on it where the battery dies and they can’t get into the car even with the key 🔑
Completely different though. The Civic Hybrid blows away the Corolla in features/performance, technology. You are talking about 2500-3k difference. I have not heard any consumers recommending that car over a Hybrid sport.
Love it, Jeff. Keep it up. Always enjoyed the Toyota stuff, but glad you have stepped to other vehicles as well. The world needs more Jeff! Lol

Thanks for a great review, Jeff. Enjoy your fun and energetic review

It's funny that you say "basic cars are today" considering how much the average cost of vehicles are even with taking inflation into account😅

adjusted for inflation it is much cheaper and much cheaper to run.

Very nice car! Great review.
still no lumbar support, no rear AC vents, and they got rid of the rear USB ports for 2025 which is ridiculous.
The only thing I wish they added is the heated steering wheel!
Is this the black leather interior or gray? Its a little tough to tell with the sunlight. Thanks
Black
Still very confusing on the difference between the Sport versus the Sport Touring. Why not list the differences side by side?
is it recommended Premium gas?
I’m sold, now I need to find the same exact car, color and all!!

Touring, def worth it!

Just get a Camry LE. Better mpg, probably samr price

Yes, it does

Is it good for a sound system
For stock, It is alright. You could do aftermarket and it would sound far superior.
The design of the 2025 model year is growing on me but my preference would be a Sport Touring trim w/out the hybrid!
