From what I'm hearing it has to do with the performance, and it's worse than Megadimension too. Nintendo doesn't care about content (unless it's blatantly hentai, too violent or is real gambling), they only care about if it functions and is playable on the console

A real shame too considering we were just about to get a Nintendo console that could really handle things. Hopefully Japan makes Japanese games with at least eng subtitles. Otherwise we are cooked.
It's always like that with Nintendo. When their systems perform well, they become the biggest garbage imaginable (see the DS/Wii era for comparison too, for example). They need to get humbled every so often to remind them of their place, like during the Wii U/early 3DS era.
They're naturally are, sony got infiltrated by dei like all male majority hobbies. Ever wondered why Nintendo is not infiltrated? Because Nintendo is low key woke already, that's why furries and lgbt people are mostly concentrated on Nintendo, with all the soft feminine games they have, that's why if you play their games on public as a man people will tell you why do you play cutesy games.
I call BS. I have seen literal H games on the E shop. Also there is Omega Labyrinth Life on the switch. Either Nintendo is playing favorites, or they are lying for what ever reason. Like are they pushing the blame onto Nintendo because they can't get it to run on the switch? Like we will understand if any new games can't run on switch hardware. But what I do think is they may be under an NDA. With the "switch 2" around the corner it wouldn't be out of the real of possibilities they have a "switch 2" dev kit and are developing for Nintendo's next system. And if they don't have a dev kit, maybe they are just waiting for the "switch 2" to come out.
no, it's censorship. tokyo clanpool was also denied by nintendo in the west for the same exact reason. Nintendo is going back to blocking certain games because they are "offensive"

So Nintendo is now more censorious than Sony? (The reason why Gal Gun Returns wasn't released for PS4 and Senran Kagura's director dropped out of Marvelous ENT. And other things, such as modifications to game covers and dialogue in the localizations) So Neptunia Racers VS dogoos could also be canceled for Switch?
The only questionable thing that I can think of is the wallpaper image of Rom and Ram in MK2 of them covered in soap, taking a bath while licking a banana... 😅
According to the video I just watched, the real reason the trilogy won't be on Switch in North America and Europe is that updated age rating restrictions means the games would likely fail to make a profit in these places. Nintendo itself has no problem with the game content and it was actually Idea Factory to make this decision.
And here I was setting aside funds for the Switch replacement that we were expecting. Maybe it's time for me to consider setting that aside for something else instead, might not be a bad time to repurpose a room for a desktop.
Quite and odd situation, considering the games that exist in the e-shop, and that Neptunia games are on switch. Some are saying it's because of the poor quality of the switch ports, others especulate is the content. If it's performance issues, then I can understand, IF should polish it rather than just putting it out for the sake of it, but if it's related to the content, then the international branches of nintendo may be going back to the dreaded wii u era. Now the positive is that their consoles are region-free now, HOWEVER, we all know japanese games that don't have an international release hardly get an english translation, unless specified, so we either learn japanese, or get it in another platform that does have it. Really bad situation overall, as a consumer, I should have the right to decide what content I can buy and engage with, rather than a company telling me what's right and what's wrong.
I will never respect PC players, even if all 3 console manufacturers are at their peak of bad decision making. Y'all started the death of physical media, and anything stronger than the steam deck is priced absurdly.

@@JazzyKitsune69, Nowi from Fire Emblem contradicts that second part. That and Nintendo allows M-rated games on their console, such as Senran Kagura games.
either they re-rate it, or don't relese it on the nintendo switch, or release a asain english patch and don't localize it; as people won't buy if it gets censored. if it does get censored on the nintendo platform, the majority won't buy it unless its on PC which usually doesn't get censored (unless pressured by sony of america and/or australlia, due to the sony companies that don''t tolerate non-exclusive media teen, mature, or adult games to be released uncensored even if the official esrb board accepts the content with its rating. if it is exclusive to the sony platform regardless of the content, sony won't care unless the actual official esrb board has issue with it.

However, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and guess that it's a Nintendo of America/UK only issue, which is still bad of course because that's still part of a huge target audience. I have a Japanese account, and I saw Prison Princess on the eShop very recently. So at the very least, NoJ has no issue it seems. I am curious on what the guidelines in the west were though.

Did Nintendo change their policies or something? There for a while they had the most relaxed standards compared to the other consoles. Maybe it's a Steam situation, where their standards just have 0 consistency.
From what I'm hearing it has to do with the performance, and it's worse than Megadimension too. Nintendo doesn't care about content (unless it's blatantly hentai, too violent or is real gambling), they only care about if it functions and is playable on the console
@@jasonmartinez5116 unfortunately that is not the case. The same reason was given about Tokyo Clanpool and according to what someone in the comments mentioned Nintendo of America and Europe change the regulations recently in regards to the content like this so there won't be any more like this coming to the West on Nintendo going forward.
It is cuz sony is bleeding money and nintendo expected to win by a landslide with switch 2
They caved to the woke mafia
So Megadimension, Game Maker R:Evolution, Super Nep RPG, Sisters VS Sisters, and the dang SENRAN KAGURA crossover are allowed… yet the Re;Birth games aren’t? What gives?
I wonder what it is specifically about the rebirth games that won’t let them be launched on there…
Rebirth games were a lot more ecchi than modern stuff
I'd bet it's some of the stuff with ram and rom. Like...megadimension has near full nudity of neptune nepgear and uzume in the first hour, but they are a bit older at least. But those scenes with trick have always made people squeamish. (and 3 does have some similar stuff with iris heart and ram rom, and young if)
@@StompinKoopasreally!!! Damn NOW I REALLY HATE NINTENDO ugh 😒
Well guess in the future I'll be picking a steam deck over switch 2 now and that's if we are all still around by then.
Because they were already released. It's most likely a new policy, so most likely they won't be allowed anymore
ah good to know there's more good things comming for me getting further into the games , im on rebirth sisters generation right now
If I were to guess it might because of Iris Heart in Re;Birth3. I was wondering why ReVerse was fine for Sony but then I remembered it only included Re;Brith1 content.
It sucks for Switch owners, though if someone wants to play these games on a portable device more powerful than the Vita then I can confirm that all three games work just fine with the Neptastic mod on the Steam Deck.
Wait, there's a mod for the Re;Birth games?
@@ConcavePgons Yep. It allows you to change the internal resolution (including above your screen's native resolution for high quality anti-aliasing), disables FXAA (it's not needed with the ability to run the game at a higher resolution), adds anisotropic texture filtering, improves the bloom shader, increases the shadow resolution and improves the quality of the outlines. It really makes a night and day difference. Without it I probably would give up on the series as the default blurry graphics were giving me a headache. It also allows you to unlock the fps limit though unfortunately it also causes the animations to play faster.
Apparently it was cancelled due to performance issues
@@jasonmartinez5116 that's not it. tokyo clanpool was also cancelled here because of the exact same reason. nintendo is going back to its former self and they will continue blocking games with fanservice
We miss you games o7 switch
It seems Nintendo might end up like Soyny. This looks bad for the console industry.
Has Nintendo actually commented on this? Kind of don't believe this from Idea Factory alone.
Too good to be true.
no, it's censorship. tokyo clanpool was also denied by nintendo in the west for the same exact reason. Nintendo is going back to blocking certain games because they are "offensive"
@@GASTBF Ugg, you might be right, which sucks, but to be honest, now that the system is region free, is not so bad, minus the possible lack of translation, but it's better than have it censored.
@@GravityRavenYT i can't read japanese so in my case, i'm punished and am denied access to the game.
Thankfully, tokyo clanpool is releasing on GOG and i have a PC.. so no big deal but i really like physical media
This is 2024 now, not 2020 or 2018. Nintendo is infected with DEI shit since a while now
I am hearing this is nintendo of america doing yeah nintendo of america needs to be flushed out. And the switch has gotten fanservice heavy games before such as omega labyrinth etc. luckily the switch isn't region locked so easy access to the Japan game and can still play it that way.
If that’s the case, then the Switch is definitely a console only for the Nintendo titles.
Which is a real shame because the biggest appeal of the switch was a haven for niche Japanese games.
It looks like that time is over.
It was nice while it lasted, but it looks like the old Nintendo is back.
So Nintendo is now more censorious than Sony? (The reason why Gal Gun Returns wasn't released for PS4 and Senran Kagura's director dropped out of Marvelous ENT. And other things, such as modifications to game covers and dialogue in the localizations)
So Neptunia Racers VS dogoos could also be canceled for Switch?
That's crazy. It is still launching on PS5 but not Nintendo? Are Nintendo rules getting worse than Sony's ?oof
Their magazines ran hit pieces on games with fan service back in the day. Sony was always fairly chill with those games
@@501clonetrooper Sony's chill. until PS5 and the absolute distain for eastern games.
The Re;Birth trilogy isn't getting an International release on PS4/5
The only questionable thing that I can think of is the wallpaper image of Rom and Ram in MK2 of them covered in soap, taking a bath while licking a banana... 😅
We don't...Talk about...That thing
cool , sounds like something i'll want to play and then talk about to people
Even so, it shouldn't be that big of deal. We have gotten used to it at this point
@marcorodriguez8792 Yeah you're right.
Waait... I thought that was an artbook only thing, not inside the game itself?
Don't Tell me They say it's too Sexy
According to the video I just watched, the real reason the trilogy won't be on Switch in North America and Europe is that updated age rating restrictions means the games would likely fail to make a profit in these places. Nintendo itself has no problem with the game content and it was actually Idea Factory to make this decision.
That was proven false already
... Videogame industry is going for worse, worse than any fictonial neptunia bad ending
And here I was setting aside funds for the Switch replacement that we were expecting. Maybe it's time for me to consider setting that aside for something else instead, might not be a bad time to repurpose a room for a desktop.
Clanpool is having trouble now with Switch in west devs said so in discord
Ironic with the hintia games
Sir it is art. lol
The last release of those was in Septenber
Or the bear scene in baulders gate
@plasmawarper5837 baulders gate ant on switch is it?
The plethora of hentai games on the Switch eShop must totally comply with Nintendo guidelines then!
They dried up towards the end of September, also Policies can change at anytime.
Is that so Nintendo? Guess you can’t shake your bad habits after all. More for the Steam Deck.
Steam blocked Tokyo Clanpool recently.
I will never respect PC players, even if all 3 console manufacturers are at their peak of bad decision making.
Y'all started the death of physical media, and anything stronger than the steam deck is priced absurdly.

Nintendo America runs the show now. It's over bros.
damn, that's so sad. I've been waiting for code Z so much cuz it seemed to be a perfect title for the switch... hope this decision will change.
Is Nintendo scared of Neptunia Hentai? So, why they allowed that much trash in the eshop?
This isn't allowed, but Hentai Puzzle number 54 is.
I don't even play this series and that's sad.
I don’t care about these games but this is absolutely stupid considering the slop on the eshop and other fan service games were released on switch perfectly fine
Interesting how they cancel Neptunia, but are OK with the Sakura series being on switch
They don't want Blanc to curse, squeaky clean Nintendo
Intern:"Sir, this game has the Wii as a character and she insults everyone."
Nintendo of America:"Throw it out the window NOW!"
These companies going back and forth on their supposed guidelines that only ever affect certain niche games like this. Game ratings exist for a reason and this series isn't even remotely that extreme in any way being rated T like come on just let people play some damn video games...

ERSB was the problem and now Nintendo. I was right.

That is annoyingly vague. The first Death end re;Quest is on the platform. Other Neptunia games are on the platform. It doesn't make sense for it to be related to the content itself.
My guess is that Idea Factory/Compile Heart might be doing something internally that Nintendo doesn't agree with. That or Nintendo is about to get strict with all third-party games.

Makes no sense, you can have the GalGun and Gun Gun pixies on the switch but not Neptunia because of guidelines??

either they re-rate it, or don't relese it on the nintendo switch, or release a asain english patch and don't localize it; as people won't buy if it gets censored.
if it does get censored on the nintendo platform, the majority won't buy it unless its on PC which usually doesn't get censored (unless pressured by sony of america and/or australlia, due to the sony companies that don''t tolerate non-exclusive media teen, mature, or adult games to be released uncensored even if the official esrb board accepts the content with its rating. if it is exclusive to the sony platform regardless of the content, sony won't care unless the actual official esrb board has issue with it.

How does Neptunia not comply but Nekopara does? make it make sense
Im disappointed with this news. I was looking forward to these on Switch. Guess I'll just get them on Steam. One of the things I liked about the Switch was the lack of censorship and whatnot.
I am curious on what the guidelines in the west were though.
good to see that they chose to not relase on the console and lose sales instead of self censor, they deserve my respect and my money!

Wait they are going to relase on playstation... wtf
I wonder if Nintendo of America/Europe is trying to make the Steam Deck a better handheld by restricting the library.
We got snowflakes to thank for this shit.
Truly disappointing. We hear NOTHING for months, only to find out that it's been canceled. If nintendo turns into sony and starts censoring games or just not including them, I'll just be strictly PC going forward
Even Steam banned those games like that
Who said anything about steam?
I wish PC gaming died in the 90s when it was meant to. It's only value to the world is modding.
No matter how many mistakes the console manufacturers make, it's better than dealing with $800 parts and the snootiest mfs on earth.
isn't Nintendo america/europe the one approving all those shitty H-Ai generated slop games in the first place?? or do they just hate neptunia's flat-chested characters being cute in an adult way?
I think they are not aproving those other games at all. It seems this Neptunia thing is an anomaly

Mugen Souls was uncensored and Funbox Media has released many p*rn game physically.
I am willing to doubt on maybe Visa/MasterCard having an influence on the eShop, like making threats of removal of their payment options on their platform. If not, Nintendo of America/Europe is returning in censoring mode and that makes me sad.
It's still available for purchase in japan, so maybe it's an NOA thing? Strange...
