Aikido - T.K. Chiba, Shihan, and Julian Frost

A short video of T.K. Chiba Shihan, 8th Dan (1940-2015), Head Instructor at the San Diego Aikikai and Founder of the Birankai. Uke is Julian Frost. Julian Frost was an uchi deshi (student who lives in the dojo) to Chiba sensei, and one of his Kenshusei (student engaged in advanced teacher training).

I had the opportunity, and the honor to attend a seminar in Athens with Chiba Sensei. it took me not even a second to understand, to detect his mastery; it was the moment he walked on the tatami, maybe not even three steps, I immediately recognized that same "something" that I also felt with Tada Sensei, Asai Sensei, Hosokawa Sensei and Fujimoto Sensei which i still remember and try to honor every lesson.
