As soon as I saw Billy's first press conference, I knew that this guy had no business as head coach. Scott Strickland has no clue what a leader looks like. Florida has been going downhill ever since 2016. Strickland is the problem.
Admin just delaying the inevitable. Be grown ups and remove stricklin and napier. the program has been set back a decade from this duo
Have to remove the whole.system that hired the last wo.coaches 1st... or the next coach will be just as bad... need 18 month stop gap old dog to buy time to get the right guy in

We most definitely will lose against Miss State. I still don't think people understand the level of bad we are right now. There's not a win anywhere left on Florida's schedule with Billy as coach
Billy Napier is not fired yet because of the organization he has built. Our admins are incompetent career bureaucrats. And there’s nothing a bureaucrat loves more than more bureaucracy.
Billy built our football program into one giant bureaucracy. We have people working in our football program that have nothing to do with training and preparing our football players. It’s also built to shield everyone from accountability - No ST coordinator, no OC, 2 DC’s, 2 OL coaches. Dozens of ‘motivation coordinators’, etc.
Our admins see this giant convoluted org chart and think “wow look at all that brainpower”. The average joe or business owner looks at it and think “no wonder we can’t make halftime adjustments”
Our admins will stick by Billy, and are still holding out hope that he can miraculously turn it around. They’re not just gonna toss this perfectly good bureaucracy after 3 games
You have said what I wish I said! He has structured this like a big corporation. Inside the building, the chain of command he has established would spread the blame out well for Napier.

I don't see any head coach setting the stage for a long-term turnaround this season. Fire Billy Napier as soon as it ends.
There is nothing to vet. We are going after Lane. No point in firing Napier now because it isn't going to get better. And since we won['t be able to hire Lane until after the playoffs, we might as well hold on to Billy until then. If we dump Billy now, other teams will poach all of our players and recruits. We keep Billy until we hire Lane. Once we have Lane, we keep all of our players and recruits because no is leaving if Lane becomes the head coach.
Also hard to blame the QBs when the coach wouldn’t even let them get in a rhythm! They would drive down the field and score a TD and then Napier would take them out and put the other QB in! Napier has no idea how to coach a damn football team on the field!
Yes. I had no problem, in fact I thought it was great, when he would change the quarterback after the series failed. However, when he changed QB's after the QB had just scored a touchdown, Napier's such a freaking idi0t. If you leave the guy in there, maybe he'll score a second TD. Napier was determined to do whatever he wanted regardless of the outcome. That's why we lose. He doesn't care about the outcome.
As far as the running game goes, Napier needs to quit running the ball strictly out of the pistol formation! Also Webb needs to be RB1 as he looked so much better than Johnson so far this season
People should stop saying we got scammed. Billy did all he could within what his plan for success was. So we now know that you have to have those barely controllable skill players on your team. The ones that have a perfect life while growing will not have that killer mentality. You need both kinds of players.

In year thee Billy is completely exposed. He is a failure at every level. He is completely in breach of contract. Everything he said he was going to do he has failed.
UF athletics across the board is in same boat.
The system that selected the current batch of coaches need to be fixed before Billy gets the boot or the same inept system will pick yet another incapable coach
The only downside I see with not firing Napier yesterday is not throwing Stricklin out the door before him. By the way, could we do an actual coaching search this time just for chuckles.
Against Miami, the UM QB was practically grinning the whole game because there was zero penetration by the UF D-Line. The lines have to get bigger and better or there's no chance and it really doesn't matter who the coach is until after you fix the recruiting.
Outstanding delivery again Brandon. But Napier is not leaving anyway until Scott is gone. And nobody is firing Scott.

We are by far the worst defense in the nation against scrambling QBs! I don’t understand how hard it is to have a QB spy in the middle of the field to watch the scramble from the QB and stop any passes across the middle. A&Ms QB killed us with scrambles and passes across the middle! Dj Douglas shouldn’t see the field again this season either

100% sure the players were interviewed and want to be coached by Napier's system the rest of the year. 99% sure the defensive players are not happy with Roberts and Armstrong, maybe having 4 of the top DB's out opened play for the running QB not practiced for.

Muschamp, Great DC, Very good recruiter (focused a tad too much in D) but hindered his OCs
McElwain, Giid talent scout, terrible OC, not a true leader
Mullen, great offensive mind and Gameday HC, but not a true leader and not interested in recruiting.
Napier, good at talent scouting and film analysis. Bland offensive mind, stubborn and too boring to inspire people
This is what you get when you hire either learn on the job, first time HCs or in Mullen’s case (poor ideology as what worked at Miss St doesn’t mean it will work at UF).
Time to pony up and pay a proven commodity. Spurrier won the ACC at Duke and had success in the USFL. Meyer had screes at Bowling Green and the Utah where he was Natl HC of the year and developed a #1 NFL pick. Follow these trends or even more proven guys than Spurrier and Meyer were at the time of their hires

It would not matter if the gators beat miss state or ucf in a few weeks. He will is not a top tier sec coach and needs to be relived . Nice guy and wish it would have worked but the longer we keep him the worse it’s going to get .

billy produced a team that is like going to a play and the actors don't know their lines. just maybe you would fire the producer and demand your money back.
BN is gonna be let go. But, why just throw money away when u have no one that will do a better job as interim. The vetting process has already started. They know who they want and will drop the bag necessary.
Predictable play calling is lethal. They may be negotiating his buyout amount because there is an ongoing NCAA investigation. They also might be working out who is taking over in the interim, as well as which assistants are leaving. They may also be negotiating Stricklin’s exit. I think Billy is on borrowed time.
Dan Enos will take over in the interim, and no assistant coaches would, or could leave until after the season. Those guys are under contract as well
@@WallyGator427LS7 Enos in an analyst, and he was let go at Arkansas because he was ineffective. Replacing one ineffective play caller with another is ludicrous. If Enos is interim, the Gators will finish 1-11.
