Fantastic! Having paused today from my first painting-turned-mud mixing nightmare and finding salvation in your layering tutorials, I just clicked on this full painting tutorial. I’ve decided to do my first learning paintings here before I resume with The Joy of Painting. The detailed guidance and tips you give as you go are so much easier to follow along with, and have re-boosted the enthusiasm I had when I decided to start painting.
What a great tutorial. Been watching your tips etc and think it is finally time to try a picture, this one seems exactly what i'm after. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful!! So I went back to a snowy painting I made and it was very nice… but this afternoon it’s really better! I went back, added some sparkly highlights to snow banks in my blue themed snow painting. I added a teeny tiny bit of cad yellow with titanium white and such little touches and it went Pop! Thanks!
Wild, you always have super thorough and awesome tutorials. Thanks for that - you're one of the best painting channels on all of TH-cam, sir. Catch ya on the next one. Meanwhile, have a great weekend!
These are just first time-starter mountains for new beginners... If you watch the video I point you to 3 other videos that go way more in-depth on how to make natural mountains.
wanting to get started in oil painting, been watching videos. What brand do you recommend for wet on wet style painting, also is there another brand for oil painting liquid white? Thanks.
Get the bob ross master kit - So you know how everything looks and feels... Then you can move onto alternatives. Which I go over in this video here: th-cam.com/video/eXmjr0cFPVI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=23hN-VGFlwYVoq36
@@WildCreates 2 weeks ago i got the gamblin 8 count colors, brushes, knives, brumbacher liquid first coat (for wet on wet paint) mineral spirits, and a french easel, also 4 16x20 canvas and 11x18 canvas. Most of the time i stare at it pondering.
Don't stare - Make time. Add it to your calendar and just dive in on a SIMPLE tutorial that you will enjoy. Trust me... by the end you will be happy your started 🔥
You are just too good at this. Wish you were a digital artist as well. lol I’m on disability so getting supplies aren’t on the horizon at the moment. Christmas coming and all. I do however have an iPad. I bought brushes that act like sponges. Found one that comes with procreate that acts like the pallet knife when doing snow on your mountains. I really just have to get off my ass and actually try. I’m far too hard on myself.
@@WildCreates That be amazing. I’ve been trying to get digital artist and fine artist to collaborate for a while. The idea was to recreate each other’s work in their medium. You do something then they redo it digitally. It’s meant to show what’s similar and different between the two. Thought it be fun.
@@WildCreatesdo you happen to know if gamblin makes a water mixable bright red- NO cad? Windsor Newton Artisan does not that I know of.. mostly shades of cad reds.🤷♀️
