Zach being real about Stellantis reliability is refreshing from an automotive journalist! Range Rover consistently ranks near the bottom of quality surveys.
Steel wheels will rust faster then alloy. I bought Alloy wheels for my Tacoma this year rather than steel wheels. More expensive but look much much better.
Go for Genesis GV70 electric. I just bought one. It's in another league as far as the ride quality and performance. It's exceptionally quiet as well. Go drive them all.
Stay away from aftermarket steel custom wheels...owned a used 2004 Chevrolet tahoe, years ago and had a lot of problems...chrome flaking, rust and difficulty with tire bead sealing...
I have a PHEV Outlander, and when you don't use the tiny third row, you get an amazing amount of leg room in the second row. Think about it: When the third row is in use, there is "some" leg room for both 2nd and third row. When the third row isn't in use, all that extra leg room goes to the second. It feels like a limo back there. Also, depending on your lifestyle, a PHEV may pretty much mean you drive an EV 350 days a year, with the other 14 driving a big battery hybrid. That's my case.
Harry's channel is one of my favs too!!! His RR Is a Diesel if I'm not wrong; The BMW wagon either E39 or E36 would be a great car to drive, to me The E34 Is The best 5 series ever!!! Good luck on that! 🥳🥳
As far as the steel vs aluminum wheels for winter. If you are vein af, look on marketplace for some used alloy wheels made for your vehicle? Waaay cheaper and look better. Nissan's CVTs are still a problem. The new Rouge engine is very complicated with an articulating piston rod that bearings are reportedly failing on. Good for the warranty, maybe, but definitely don't keep past it.

Yeah I just watched a GV70 refresh vid from Korea. There’s an auto vid journalist that makes videos over new HMG releases. It is being refreshed for 2025. If you’ve e seen the refreshed G80 sedan then you know what’s coming. It’s basically the same treatments. Hugh single panel, new interior and exterior changes etc.
Harry Metcalfe and Clarkson may love their Range Rovers but, understand; the British have a *very* high tolerance for stuff that doesn't work. It's kind of built in to the culture. People complain about how EVs lose half of their range when they tow. Our 2021 Ram Limited gets (if we are lucky) 16mph. When we tow our camper we get between 7 and 8 mpg. That is 50% of range just like an EV.
However it much easier to refuel than an EV. Most EV stations you can't charge the truck/car with a camper attached and take much longer to refuel, 30-60 min on a lv3 if it is available for 80% charge vs 5-10 mins with gasoline for a full fuel tank. Not taking into account cold weather on EV charging.
Ah… the legendary P38 Range Rover… I absolutely agree with you and Mr. Clarkson about this iconic product. Is it worth the questionable build quality? The answer is an absolute Yes. Aluminum doesn't rust at all, however it does corrode, especially in areas using salt in the winter months
Don’t forget it’s also has more limited plasticity. On a Tacoma, with the large sidewalls, your, probably fine but on many cars, it’s a problem.
Alloy, less unsprung weight, better jounce / rebound, better handling and ride.
@billurban1581 true, but the benefits are offset by heavy and oversized low profile tires, which are common now
