I was told I couldn’t get anything done to my CL55 when I called one of those places that do tunes! Now I see it is possible if you go to the right place apparently. How much they charge? I have to change my plugs and seals first.
For my stage 1 was around $300.

It wasnt worth it for me i got my 2000 e320 tuned by OE Tuning after 150 miles the throttle was better and shifting was sharper but it was no different than a sprint booster i had on my e430 and e55 w210, 0-60 , 1/4 mile and 20-80 were all the same on my e320 i tested out again after 300 miles with the tune and no different waste of 300$
Make sure you put in sport mode
Bro.....i got a 2004 E500 4matic and put in the Sprint Booster (best brand) $300. Extremely easy to install and use. There are 2 major setting Green or Red and each one has 9 click settings. Both are very very noticeabl when you mash the pedal. I keep mine on Red step 9 balls to the wall setting. But one simple button click in a wink can change it back and forth on the fly. On full bore setting even a light pedal tap can scare you. But i learnd that your foot gets educated. On full stop light pedal mash...All i can say is yeehaaaaw!
Dayum. For years i believed everyone that it was just a gimmick and doesnt add HP. Yeah but it does make your car faster from A-point B. No Lie! Worth every penny if your into it. No matter how fast you mash the pedal it dont help cuz every car maker tunes the pedal to open sluggishly to not scare anyone or cause accidents. With Sprint Booster it slams the throttle plate open. Def shave tenths off your 0-60 and quarter mile times.
They have videos showing how slow factory throttle is in comparison. Watch the vid and youll be surprised.
