This is great! You are a good teacher, so easy to understand. I am hard of hearing and I heard every word you said. You enunciate perfectly. Thank you for this terrific tutorial!
You are the first person to show that we can zip large files and upload to etsy. This is amazing. Thank you SOOO much!! Great tutorial, I have a Cameo but wasn't sure how to make my own SVG's but make PNG's to sell on Etsy. I'm super excited to give this a try!
Svg from canva is not change when open with cricut? I saw many clips that we have to use inkscape edit canva'file before selling. And its so complicated.
Svg files in Canva has been a hit and miss for me. When used it the file directly in cricut from Canva sometime there are unknown lines/ objects in the design that doesn’t appear in Canva. However I have use Inkscape over the years for all my SVG files!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Can you convert colored files to SVG? I see people selling full-color SVGs and I know they get more complicated with all the different layers you have to have. Just thought I'd ask! Thanks again for the great video!
Thank you for this video. It was very knowledgeable. I can’t wait to create some SVGs to sell on Etsy. I was having a hard time deciding what digital products I wanted to upload. You really helped me out. I’m not a new subscriber of yours.
When I add my converted file to a cricut canvas there is a white background - did I do something wrong or will it still be a basic cut of the just the design?
@@DefinedByAlex thank you for the reply ! & I noticed that Etsy sellers also sell DXF, EPS, PNG files ? Do I just download those different file types from Canva and make it all into one folder?
@@RebeccaBancarz so Canva doesn’t provide DXF & EPS files. You would have to use Adobe products for those files but you still can compress all of those files if they exceed 5MB according to Etsy’s storage
Hi Alex, I am new to designing SVGs and have done them in canva...should it not be done in canva with my pro account? I don't have an etsy shop yet and am trying to understand it all...thanks for sharing your expertise and this video!
So what’s the difference btwn svg and a jpeg with a transparent background for uploading? Or is svg specifically for files meant to be printed out on the devices you mentioned?
An SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a vector image format that allows for infinite scaling without loss of quality, ideal for logos and illustrations, like Alex discusses here. In contrast, a JPEG is a raster image format best suited for photographs, with a fixed resolution that can lose quality when resized or heavily compressed. SVGs are typically smaller in file size and can be easily edited, whereas JPEGs can display a wider range of colors and are more universally supported across platforms.
I come to “how to” videos for true step by step tutorials. This offered a lot of “hand waving” or “skirting”and not teachable for a beginner or someone not familiar with the app
lol I think she did great. Now I know how to go about this. If I am new to canva, I can TH-cam a beginner for canva. Everything else is very simple or youtubable.

Love your content. Are you still on IG?

is it possible to make a colored SVG in this way or is that a whole new level of difficulty? lol. I'm new to this
how do you add a watermark?
do you have a slower tutorial on creating svg files and actually uploading them on etsy step by step from BEGINNING to END??????PLEASE
Awesome explanation, thank you
I guess I’m being dense, but what is the difference in doing it this way and saving it as an SVG in Canva? Are the not the same thing?
In Canva, it’s a Pro feature to save as an SVG. So she’s showing how to do it for free for people who don’t have a paid account. 😊
The best breakdown I've watched so far THANK YOU!!!!

Hello, i think you can upload the image to cricut and then remove the background.
Make sure to hit remove background when downloading from Canva
THANK YOU!!!
New Subbie thanks for your channel girl 👏🏽☺️
Hey what do you mean by compressing them ?
Hello, thank you for the video :) what size did you use for canva?
Hello! So I think I used a 12 x 12 canvas for the example

Help ! I do not find your video for using the cutting machine.. 🫣 how i use it . Can you help me . ❤

Do you use the same printer as a year ago ?
So this is a digital process, no physical printer is needed

hey sweetie , if I have canvas pro I can convert it directly as an SVG file right ?
and I saw a German video today ,that says that you can only use things that are free ...nor things from canvas pro to sell on Etsy . isn't it right?
You’re exactly right!
thank you :)@@DefinedByAlex
The svg trace is paid website
It doesn't save as an SVG, it saves as an HTML
yes, html file is when your pc or notebook doesn’t have program to open it and send file to browser opening
