- Hi everyone! Today we are taking four thrifted lamps and giving them a little makeover with easy DIY’s that anyone can do. You won’t recognize these thrift lamps when we’re done because they are going to look like stylish high-end designer lamps! I hope to give you a lot of ideas and spark your creativity to transform and makeover a thrifted lamp into a unique one-of-a-kind home décor treasure. Thrifting lamps is not only budget friendly but also the perfect opportunity to add personality to your home, creating a collected, curated look that is original. I love the 1st vintage lamp and how pretty would those flowers be with some black distressed ink rubbed over them or even blk or brown wax to bring all they're beautiful detail to surface

I absolutely love the metallic lustres so much better than the rub n buff and it comes in so many colors!

Love all the lamps. I have done vases with the techniques but never used pepper and / or cement powder. Next time I find 2 jar lamps I am gonna do the pepper deal for sure. Thanks for sharing. ❤😮

OMG- your first lamp is STUNNING 😯😯what is CROSS HATCH PAINTING?
Hi there! So glad you enjoyed the lamp makeovers. I use the term cross hatch as a way to describe a random "X" like pattern to applying the paint. As long as you go in different directions all over the lamp or vessel you will get a different handmade pottery feel to your piece compared to going in one direction only. Im new to your channel and do alot of upcycles/faux pottery looks with baking soda and concrete, i hope you had a mask on while rubbing the concrete dust on your lamp indoors it is so dangerous for your lungs to inhale..just incase you werent aware😊 lamp turned out beautiful tho

*Lesa, please plug up your kitchen sink and fill it with hot soapy Dawn dish water. Then scrub your lamp clean, empty your dirty water and add fresh, clean water to your sink basin to rinse off your lamp. YOU ARE WASTING SO MUCH WATER 💧 JUST LETTING IT RUN DOWN THE DRAIN AS YOU CLEAN YOUR LAMP‼️😔👎*

*Please plug your sink and add hot soapy (Dawn) water💧and dip your bristle brush into the water in your sink basin and scrub the dirt and grime from your lamp. Drain your water and then fill your sink with clean water to rinse off your lamp. You are WASTING SO MUCH WATER by just running your tap as you scrub it clean‼️😔*
