My late wife and I visited the Star Trek experience in Vegas in 1999, we enjoyed it very much. I got my picture taken with a female Klingon. This was in Quark's bar. There was customer sitting at the bar when a Klingon asked if he knew how to give a Klingon salute. The customer said he didn't so the Klingon demonstrated how, slamming his right fist against his left chest. When the customer tried it the Klingon asked him if it hurt. The customer said no and the Klingon replied that he didn't do it right try it again.

Traveled to Vegas 4 times to see it over the years. The family and I stayed there for a week one Christmas. We never left the hotel, ate every meal at Quarks, it was fantastic! Because we were there all week the actors got to know us, and because we always stayed in character with them they trusted us enough to do more than just the standard stuff they did with guests. Best part was eating at Quarks the Klingon security officer came by and as he did once of us sniffed the air and said, is that lilac? We roared and because it was in canon he played right along. Just being there, enjoying the museum, the meals, the back stage tour, even the airport had security videos made with the characters. They are memories my family has cherished ever since.

If this were to come back again, we'd would go in a heartbeat. Unless it's a Discovery thing, in which case we'd have to think about it.

Star Trek the Experience in Vegas was Amazing, I recently went back to Vegas in March and popped over to the Old Hilton ( now the westgate ), it still has all the remnants of the experience, and could EASILY be transformed back, but is now just an area where timeshare sales people meet. It’s really quite sad when you know what was there before. I for one would LOVE to see it return in some way!

I used to go there almost every year when it was around, only rode the Klingon Encounter attraction every time and saw Borg Invasion 4D once. I wish I could do it all over again and see the Borg ride more.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and was sad to see it go. As a Las Vegas local, I blame its demise on upper management of the then-Las Vegas Hilton (who subsequently had the Hilton name stripped from them), who made virtually no effort to market it. I think if it came back, and was marketed correctly, it would make a fortune. Since Nevada is very business friendly, and has no state or local income tax, it would actually be much less expensive to bring it back to Las Vegas than it would be to house it in many other popular destination cities. A traveling venue would be fun, but it would be tremendously expensive if they made it as elaborate as the original experience was.

    LOVED Star Trek Thw Experience!
Used to go every year. Really enjoyed having a Cheeseborger at Quark's Bar and Grill.
The actors did an amazing job, and you can see their love of playing in the Experience on several TH-cam videos.
    I really miss it.

I remember going to this thing a long long time ago. I drank a lot of Romulan ale at Quarks and hit on a Klingon chick. Good times.

I went there as a teenager not long after it actually opened for the first time. I went with my aunt and I think I rode it like four times over the course of 2 days. It was super super cool and really immersive. I mean of course the Highlight was the right itself but leading up to that was a lot of really cool stuff including visiting the bridge of the Enterprise and a section where they beam beam you by having the lights turn off and then are rushes over you and then the lights turned back on and then you're in a completely different room it's cool.

I went there in July 2001, no Borg or Klingon attractions, just the experience, museum and got my picture in Picard's chair. A good time (for me) and wanted to go back before the end. Didn't happen though. I believe a traveling exhibit will be exciting.

I have been to the star trek experience twice before it closed. Loved it! Ate at Quarks a few times. Was sad when it closed. I managed to get one of the original menus from Quarks. I will keep it always.

I went to the Vegas Hilton and visited The Star Trek Experience. I did the Borg event, I have a really nice jacket that has Star Trek The Experience embroidered on the back. I don't wear to often because I want I want it to stay looking new. I wish the Hilton would have kept it. I definitely would have gone back!!!

I was lucky enough to be there in 98 when it opened and again in 08 the week that it closed. It was a fantastic venue for trek fans and I was very sad to see it go.

Star Trek The Experience was fantastic. When I walked on to the bridge of the Enterprise D I had a near religious experience! Oh, I also got plastered on a Warp Core Breach at Quarks.

I visited ST:TE many times. It was SO MUCH FUN! I haven’t been back to Las Vegas since it closed. I think someone should build a Star Trek themed resort that would include parts reflecting each of the incarnations of Star Trek.

Star Trek The Experience was awesome. I lived in Vegas back then and must have gone at least 10 times. I ate at Quark's Bar and still have my Klingon jacket with the Great Hall on it that I bought on Deep Space Nine's promenade. Good times.

I got to go to Star Trek: The Experience twice shortly before it was closed. It was one of the greatest experiences (no pun intended) of my life. My second trip there, I got to share it with my children. I was extremely grieved when it closed. I sincerely hope that this comes to complete fruition- I would love to one day share it with my grandchildren as well.

My wife and I did the very same thing, even down to the year. God, I miss that experience. The Borg Invasion and KlingonEncounter were all well and good, but my favorite part of the overall experience was interacting with the actors. The Klingon, the Borg, the Ferengi ... they were all so good at making it easy to slip into the illusion with them. Like a holodeck program might be like. Er ... that's meant as a compliment to the actors, not suggesting they were acting with programmed responses or something. It was always so fun. With Star Trek's renewed popularity and content, it seems like a no-brainer to bring it back. Hell, they just missed the Abrams movies! If only they had stayed open just a bit longer!

My family went to this every year when passing through Vegas on our vacations. It was amazing. The actors we're prenominal. I remember my dad bartering with ferengis at Quark's bar on how much Romulan ale he could get if he sold my brother and I. Oooh and exchanging battle stories with Klingons. The rides were super immersive -- being led through the halls and bridge of the Enterprise and the shuttle simulator. Then the enemy attacks and it felt like a real star trek episode. We were so sad when it was removed

I went there in 2007, right after my late wife and I got married downtown. It was a very cool experience. We both got pretty trashed drinking these steaming, bubbling drinks from basically fishbowls ( a "warp core breach" and a "Borg sphere"), which impressed one of the Klingons.

Well of course it should reopen - there or somewhere else - to close it in the first place was amazingly short sighted.

I went in summer ‘01. Got to stand on the bridge of the Ent D and things like that. The premise was that we were supposed to go on a much more conventional ride, but the Klingons beamed us through time so they could murder us, because one of us was an ancestor of Picard. The _Enterprise_ crew rescued us and we all had to get on an escape pod or something. Picard made a prerecorded announcement thanking us for our courage before we were beamed back to 2001 and the gift shop, where I bought a tribble. The Borg weren’t there yet, and being a mere 16 years old I didn’t get to drink at Quark’s.
These days I live in Vegas and am old enough to get the full experience. Really wish it were still around.
What I _did_ find just last month-and this is a weird one-was a small display case full of STE artifacts in the (pretty disappointing) National Atomic Testing Museum. No idea why.

It's the current year. It'll be the Discovery Experience where you'll be immersed in the Star Trek that no one likes. You'll see characters that no one cares about. You'll see ships that look completely wrong. And the entire time, employees will tell you it's canon. It's prime. And, you must like it.
