I love how people in the past complained about TOS has no holodecks, but TAS did AND The Kobayashimaru is A HOLODECK SIMULATION. And this was a really nice Short Trek.
Sand in the computers... the only obvious explanation I know for that comes from Ben Aaronovitch's Rivers of London series, in which active electronics are reduced to fine sand if exposed to magic. Not a likely crossover.
If this isn't a set-up for a new show, I don't know what is! They went to the trouble of creating Engineering to show it to us for all of 30 seconds!? (Plus they can surely repurpose the set they used for the first half of this for something.)
Short Trek Indeed. Entertaining and fun but if this is not a precursor to a Star Trek Pike show then why are we getting these? it would only be a tease to the audience but time will tell. I liked "Ask Not" but due to the length of the episode we basically saw it all in the trailer and it all seemed very obvious where it was going. Fun Trek, but if it is not laying down some ground work for a Pike show then...Ugh. Lol :) Great Video.
This was a decent episode, unlike the disgrace that the two previous short treks were. But it's too little too late, since this is the last Pike episode we'll get.
I don't think Q&A was *that* bad. The Trouble with Edward definitely was a pile of hot garbage, though. Misandry, unprofessionalism, tribalism and childishness all wrapped into one garbage short that I want to forget.
Can I say, as a lifelong Trek fan (36 years) it saddens me I can't watch the short Treks in Ireland, I don't think they're in the UK either which makes me wonder if they're even advertising it in Europe.
They filmed them while they were filming the end of last season and had the sets and actors around. They are more like deleted scenes than new episodes.
Great review, but I disagree on one thing I definitely think Pike would threaten anyone if they didnt give him what he wanted. Remember back to The Cage when he threatened to snap off the Talosians head?
If someone is an officer in Starfleet or any other militated organisation. they are already on the path to become a 'command' level officer, since at any point during their career they may be place in a situation where they would be the highest ranking person and have to make life and death decisions Example Lt(jg) Richard Castillo force to take command of the Enterprise C after his command officer is killed during a Klingon attack.
They should really release it to the international viewers at the same time they release to the US viewers.
Captain Jack Sparrow helps us international viewers :)
I believe that particular protocol was last used, in Equinox , As I recall Cpt Ransom wasn’t happy either 😂
man I love Pike! am def interested in the short treks for the animated!
My first thought after this was it was like the stress test that Crusher had to go through in order to graduate from star fleet

Great short treks. I want more Pike.
wish granted

12:25 - setting us up for something, maybe A PIKE SHOW.
6 months to the day later, PIKE SHOW CONFIRMED!!
Well played, Trek Central, well played
😉😉😉
@@TrekCentral can I get the lottery numbers for Saturday? 😂👍🏻
Oh get on with giving us a new Star Trek enterprise tv show already.....
Pike and no. 1 were the best thing in Discovery. Would prefer to see a season with just them and the enterprise.
Hopefully we get two dvd's or blue ray with these beautiful short treks
You are joking, right?
More rubbish to add to the landfill, alongside those Rose Tico action figures. :D
There was a Stargate Episode where they showed bad Scifi!
A bad one was jumping into the action without any *WHY* !

@Zak MacCrackenBlacken, do you feel a bit silly now?
Think of it this way..This could be a test for anyone who wants to join the crew of the flag ship..And Pike is heading the test in person..
lol I'm surprised the haters not all over it, I've yet to see a hater hating on it yet. 1pm 11-15-2019.
Oh haters gonna hate Daddy!
Their always there in the shadows just waiting to hit that send button...

Currently the Short Treks are only available in the US and Canada. We’ll let everyone know when they’re internationally available:) - Jack

Jack were do you watch short Star Trek because I fort you said it wasn’t available for international viewers. Just wondering if you could tell me.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
We deserve a show of this why go trough the money and expense if they are not going to do a show,

Is these possible teasers to make sure a Captain Pike Spinoff is going to be watched? It is all about ratings with the networks.

Talosian isn't comparable to a Starfleet ensign
I bet it was one big test for the up and coming cadets who want to become command levels officers.

Nose shaming now. That's a bit beneath you isn't it?
Just pointing out a fact . What shame ? Doe you have nose guilt ?
