This is a video about choosing colors for a color palette in pixel art. I used aseprite in the video. I also explain HSV, hue shifting and some saturation stuff.
The hue saturation graphs are from pixelparmesan.com/color-theory-for-pixel-artists-its-all-relative/ It is a really good read and I recommend you all check their article out. My reference must have gotten deleted on accident :(
I liked this video. One thing you said was "using RGB is hard", but I'd like to point out that basically all art programs mimic CYM (the inverse of RGB) which means it would work similar to paint mixing (where cyan + yellow = green, yellow + magenta = red, etc) I feel it's much easier to think of colors using CYM than RGB, and both are correct. You did technically add red (as in you got closer to red) but you also added yellow to that greenish hue. Both are right.
Yeah saying I don't understand what adding red to a color does is a bit of an exaggeration. However I do find it easier to use HSV, but if you like CYM then go at it!
