- All Endgame (Post-Moon Lord) Terraria Calamity Mod Swords are showcased in this video. Swords are the player's basic melee weapon. Broadswords are swung over the head when used, while shortswords are stabbed in front of the player. Some swords also release a projectile when swung, making them a good option when fighting at range. There are currently 135 swords in the Calamity Mod.

Thats really nice but it would be nice if instead of reviewing weapons with lower base damage fisrt, you reviewed them in order of when they appear in the game or single target DPS
normal terraria: we need balanced weapons with balanced and similar projectiles, not too big, not too spammy, and it cant be too flashy
calamity: if the boss is allowed to create bullet hells, you should too

I love the ark of the elements sprite.
The sword design looks cool and all, but I enjoy the unique style of murasama. The animation gives off the feeling of actually slashing the sword with all your might and splitting your enemy in half. Still remember the first time i wield that new murasama and spam the hell out of it, it was good times.

I love how the Mursama is simultaneously one of the most powerful weapons in the game and is also a pre-king slime weapon
its not that great tbh, the next boss in progression after you can use it scal and good luck getting into true melee range in that boss fight

this song literally make me want to replay Frackin Universe all over again, also Vanilla Starbound already has this big aspect about exploration what makes me wanna play this game for hours and find new stuff, I wish Terraria had something like that, these small worlds fell pretty claustrophobic

7:53 I have a dumb story. I was doing a swords only playthrough and I named my character Sam. Long story short, that was a VERY fast playthrough.

i always have that exact same reaction whenever i see those weapons
but to clarify, it means defense has a slightly increased effect on the weapon's damage (specifically, it's reduced by 25% of defense)

My irl name is Sam so I called my character Sam and started playing. That was a very fast play through lol
Imagine just finding the Murasama and not knowing that you need a specific name, but having that name. Now it was changed so even if you coincidentally named your character Sam, it wouldn't work. Honestly, would've been hilarious.

It’s more a sword-wand duo at this point than just a sword.
Going by 7:36, I think "don't bring a tool to a sword fight" makes for a better saying to use here.

It looks kinda trash in my opinion. The sprites are too detailed for Terraria and the weapon animations are overkill and kinda bad looking. Just because they shit out a thousand projectiles on the screen per second doesn't mean they look good. It's the opposite of the Empress of Light weapons which are simple, but look very good in use.

Either pre ml weapons only or the damage is changed on the server so players don’t instantly die to a attack that covers half of existence and deals 5000 damage
I like that the strongest melee weapon damagewise (the Murasama) is an actual melee weapon.
