- Just a video about how to install the NIX 22 (FKS 204) Cartridge System from Öhlins into an MT-07 Tracer from 2016. Same works for the naked bike MT-07 and retro version XSR 700. Of course for newer Tracer 700 and Tracer 7 variants as well. Hope you like and enjoy! :D

Thank you! Your video helped a lot when we installed the YSS cartridge kit in my XSR700. Almost the same procedure as the Öhlins, but with the YSS you actually use the spanner they provide as the holding tool 😁

Have a look on the Öhlins Website and download the install instructions. In them you will find the item numbers for the tool. Then search for "Öhlins plus tool number" on ebay and you will find them. 😄😄🤜🤜

Moin, welche Federn hast du dazu gekauft? Die Öhlins federn mit 9,0n/mm oder andere?
Ich will mir zuerst nur die Federn kaufen und wollt wissen ob es vorgesehen ist die Feder auch für das Cartridge System vorgesehen sind.
Ich wiege um die 70kg und habe die 9er Federn genommen. Die Federn können nur in Kombi mit dem Cartridge Kit verbaut werden. Wenn du ohne Cartridge Kit verbauen willst, brauchst du andere Federn. Ich glaube Öhlins bietet da sogar welche an. Ansonsten die üblichen Verdächtigen nehmen. Wilbers.... 😂😂😬😬👍👍
Hi, and after driving it for a while, is there the difference to spend 800 Euro? Is there a pro or con to progessive springs.. Wilbers or ....
It's a difference you can definitely feel while riding. No comparison to just shoving in Wilbers Springs. I had Wilbers springs in before, you can even see the shiny polished Wilbers spring as I pull it out the fork rod. 😄😄👍👍
I just bought the Öhlins kit because I was curious. For my riding style it wasn't REALLY necessary but in the end I'm glad I could upgrade the suspension. The Wilbers shock is doing great work in the rear. 😬😬🤘🤘
Where'd you get it and what'd you pay? Also did you end up preferring the higher preload?
Online Store in Germany. I payed around 600 for the cartridge kit and another 100 for the springs.
How about up side down front fork for MT07 from brand Ohlins???
That would be nice but not legal here. TÜV sagt nein. 😂😁
is there a big difference between these forks and a upside down ones?
@@xivngbn7 I guess only if you are really used to the old RSU fork and did already a lot of racing with it and then switch. On normal street use I guarantee you won't be able to tell if the bike has USD or RSU forks.
Great video Thanks I will be doing the Ohlins FKS 204 on my mt-07 how much 01309-01 fork oil do I need? 1 or 2 L? Did you get the TUV paperwork with the FKS 204 kit?
You need the 1l can. It's enough for both fork rods. All the needed paperwork came with it! 🤘🤘😄😄

@@davidmancey You need to be carefully and I guess it's best to place the fork rod vertically and not horizontally so when you pull the the damper out it won't get caught on the hydro stop spring. 👍👍😁😁
If you have spare money left it's worth the expense. If you need to think about what you can buy else, then I guess not. 🤘🤘
Was kann man unter Wheel Travel verstehen? Heißt ja Federweg im Deutschen, wo findet man das Maß, unbelastet ist doch F1, ist das nicht der Federweg?
Wheel travel ist gesamter Federweg. F1 ist belastet mit Fahrzeuggewicht und f2 ist mit Fahrer und Gepäck
@@meoffjack wie kann dann aber F1 größer sein als der Federweg, wenn F1 belastet ist und der federweg unbelastet 🤔
@@flyingtv7217 Sorry, hatte mir vorhin nicht das Video angucken können. Wheel Travel ist gesamter Federweg (nach Hersteller) und der ist 13cm. F1, F2 und F3 sind einfach fiktive Werte die man misst, da jeder anders das Lineal oder Zollstock anhält. Man hätte auch den Weg zwischen unterer Brücke und untere Kante vom Tauchrohr nehmen können. Dann wäre man auf andere F1, F2 und F3 Werte gekommen, aber die Abstände zu den unterschiedlichen F Werten wäre immer noch gleich. F1 ist unbelastet, F2 nur mit Fahrzeuggewicht und F3 mit Fahrer und Gepäck.
