Mike: "The police were completely and utterly incapable of stopping it."
Crowds of youths ran riot through the busy Oxford Circus area looting shops, fighting, jumping on luxury cars, and assaulting police officers.
Police have confirmed several people have been arrested.

Why on earth do we even have a police force if they just stand around and watch this unfold, being afraid of doing their actual job of arresting the law breakers. Each store that was affected should band together and sue the Met police for incompetence. And every officer that did not intervene should be immediately fired without a pension. All of this is the fault of the mayor of London, who cannot do his job unless there is a rainbow and alphabet people involved at the forefront.

I was in Czech Republic in 2010 for 2 weeks, I travelled all over the country. Was the best holiday I have had. Beautiful country and really good people. The beer and food is great, and the Women are the best looking in the world.

When I went to Warsaw I couldn't believe how clean everything was. Wherever I went litter just didn't exist. Compare it to London. The only signs of 'anti social' behaviour is the football graffiti, but who cares?! That in itself is a sense of pride and community and I've always liked a bit of Graff anyway. As I was waiting for this clip I wondered what ethnicity the majority of the looters would be and guess what, I wasn't wrong. When we were growing up we had nothing compared to even the poorest families now and we never did this sort of crap. Most Definitely. Justice system needs redoing, prison system needs serious investment to match all these imports that come on boats. So we can lock people away and to levels equal of the US system. We give min of 35 years to life and they give multiple life sentences. One woman I spoke to who was raped, 20 years compared to our 3-4 years. Only way to control crime is to control where to put them and rule with an iron fist. I'd be slapping 20 min on rapes. They'd slow down a lot at bare min. I'd also allow multiple rapes to stack up. If someone convicted of 3 rapes, 60 years min.
They're not just any old teenagers-they are from a particular demographic which has low impulse control, concomitant low levels of deferred gratification and have been encouraged to regard themselves as victims of white oppression-and I don't think a "cuff round the ear" as this deluded woman suggests is going to rectify the problem.

Talk TV did exactly the same thing in an interview with an ex cop about knife crime in London. The perpetrators were referred to as “young gentleman” throughout. This country is well and truly screwed. I can’t believe no one hasn’t had a tyre put round their neck and set on fire while the children watch just like in the townships. @jamie Brooks No. My sons were raised by me, more or less alone post divorce and their father moved away. My sons are not delinquents, they are very decent young men, with good values and a responsible attitude. I'm fed up with seeing this kind of attitude towards men raised by women, as if they and their mothers dont have morals and only fathers can impart moral decency to their children....which is almost funny when you consider how many of them just move on in life and abandon their responsibilities in time, money or both.
I worked full time and did a decent job raising my children, and children raised by single parents (whoever they are) should not be automatically written off in society's mind as being failures at best or criminal.
Two great parents is the best outcome possible, but one good parent is a lot better than two mediocre to bad parents.
Seriously what do you expect from these animals and the police who when not running away act as their armed guard.
I can see this trend of behaviour increasing as times get harder. The young people are completely out of order and must be seen to be punished by the judiciary. If that means prison then so be it!
