No one wants to go to a shelter. It's degrading and strips a person of everything... It should be that we should help (as the public) to keep equal status. Better ideas are to remove the abuser from the household, instead of the women having to leave the property....

I'd like to add another thing, Nicole was No Angel..she had her defects as well I've read that she loved drugs and constantly partying..Even Johnny dsod during court that she and other on her circle went out dancing and carousing practically every nite..she had no desire to better herself by attending college or engaging on positive wholesome activities..so my point is, do not listen to Denise cause constantly lies...I'm sorry that Nic was murdered and hope that they find the Real killer..

Relationship abuse committed by women is extremely undereported. Many men feel they have no power to fight back, because they would be seen as the aggressor by the police. Whether the guy is a pussy or not, it's extremely dangerous to defend himself against a physically violent woman, legally speaking. Also, much of female relationship abuse is psychological, not physical. There are many guys who are abused or controlled by women who do not even realize what is happening, partly because society implies that only men can be abusers.
Not to mention the fact that it is unconstitutional for the federal government to insert itself in this. Violence is already illegal, and it should be illegal. But what these bills do is create a hyper police state and they end up ensnaring people who may not even really be abusers.
Many men get a slap on the wrist and the opportunity to kill the victim. Yes it happens to men, but it's happened to women WAAAYY more and for as long as human existed. Women have been oppressed, repressed, abused, neglected, disrespected, not even worthy of voting. A man also has the strength and power to walk away. Simply walk off if a woman attacks you and never come back. What you're not to do is sit there and wrestle back and forth with her, just the same as im not going to box a lil kid that charges up to me. It totally isn't ok for anyone to hit anyone else no matter what. But any man (or person bigger/ stronger then the other person) that beats up a woman or even touches her in an aggressive way has low morals, zero impulse control, selfish and narcissistic, controlling, jealous, insecure, possessive etc which are ALL characteristics of a physically abusive person! Basically low EQ. You could be very bright yet your emotional intelligence be slim to nonexistent.
