How to Light a Commercial - Shot on Sony FX3

- In this episode I'm taking you behind the scenes on a Motorcycle Commercial and I'm showing you how to Light this kind of projects. First of all I gotta tell you guy, I love using the Fx3, it's small and powerful and I can basically pack super light for smaller project and still make it look like a big commercial.

Really cool video! I like the bts. The slow shutter clips were a really good touch to the overall feel of the commercial! I think it demonstrated the fast paced and jerky motion of the whole video but was a very nice unique touch too! Thanks for the info Alexandru!

Thanks for another great video! How does the Fx3 (and Fx6) stack up against the Zcam F6? I have the F6 and I don't know if it's the best option for my work. I mostly shoot product and interior video's. I don't really care about autofocus.
At first I thought: oh man no bts shots? 😟
But honestly this was super interesting! Definitely helps to learn how to set up the light for a next shoot 🙏🏼

What settings did you shoot the fire shots with?
Looks awesome. What kind of focus area did you use to make the camera focus where you want, rather than the potentially random places it decides are worth seeing?
Thank you! I used focus tracking, I was touching the screen and Fx3 locks the zone you touched and it keeps that zone in focus using A.I tracking.
@@AlexDon I've often heard people criticising autofocus and the users. Like only amateurs use it. I think that it's just another tool to help tell a story, removing some of the obstacles that get in the way. Not everyone has a focus Puller, and with the new Sony cameras, they are often more accurate anyway.

Nice explanation on lights. I have a question about the slow shutter speed. Did you used a very slow shutter in camera or added the effect in post?

I don’t use zebras at all, I expose based on the log footage, it’s pretty simple after you get used to it.
