I just love it when people are specialists in several areas. This combination of knowledge gives a new visual Buying props from market place for shooting is also smart. I often do this if I need certain things or decor for a few days. I don’t know how ethical this is, but as I understand it, this is normal practice, especially in the fashion industry
One more question. What is your favorite way to rigging overhead light under 3kg. I have a C stand with short (120cm standart arm) which is not enough for some shots. I saw in one of your videos that you used just a steel pipe with a grip head or something like that for overhead light instead of standart arm - is it normal practise? Of course i can buy a Baby boom arm but it is out of my budget right now and i like DIY solution more.
Yeah but this is illustrating the thought process, it’s not a tutorial, you can easily achieve contextual transitions like this in ANY of your productions regardless of budget if you’re deliberate
And we don't ether, all the equipment was rented for a fraction of the cost. Just wanted to showcase our process because it can be applied to any scale of production. Hope this helps!
@@TenfoldProduction crazy how youtube has largely convinced young filmmakers that they need to own everything. Renting is what most productions do. There are benefits to being an owner/op but you have to have the rental demand to justify it. I appreciate that y'all teach technique over gear and consumerism - it's refreshing!
This guy is kind enough to share his creative mind and you want to complain about price… yeah he may use expensive cameras and lenses but light is light if you don’t have it you can make it work with something else. We as creatives just need to create and it seems hard sometimes when you don’t have the “right gear” and i fall victim to it as well but realistically sitting around complaining isn’t going to make you better. All love brother just get out there and make something cool❤
Finally someone illustrating the process of the small things we all tend to forget about that turn a video from a 9/10 to a 10/10
