No need to try to prove that the method works man, I’m a living proof that it works. I’ve been cutting my own hair for the las year and a half thanks to Sergio’s method…
He cut better the first time than a lot of "experienced" barbers. Just shows how great your method is. Its the easiest to understand that i ever came across. Also all the little detailed tips that you pick up in such a tutorial, like staying on a spot for longer, were really helpful. Appreciate the video! Thank you guys!
Yo can you guys do more like this? It naturally creates questions beginners have and shows us the solution in real time. Few different gems I took from this that I don’t always get as well regularly.
One thing I would like to see, that I think everyone would benefit from, is showing a detailed & in-depth video of how to detail at the end of the haircut when you’ve done all your steps. The detailing is the hardest part of every haircut & it’s what makes all the difference.
Best tutorial video. It contained those small tips that an experienced barber may overlook but makes a huge difference to the beginner. We want more videos like this please
After years of being scared to jump into being a barber I finally did my very first cut today using these same exact steps. Got a ways to go but I can say that the steps do work! Love the videos they help so much man fr!
This video hypes me even more to continuing the start of my barber journey. Thank you for spreading y’all’s knowledge. Much Love to the Faded Culture movement !
I started watching your guys videos back in July of 2022. I was practicing on my sons head (2yrs old) with the Walmart clippers. Now it’s January 2023 I’m charging 15 cut! Yes them cuts fresh and I followed your steps all the way through. Now I kinda put my own twist but majority is the same steps !
After a lot research on your tutorial Finally I'm able to do fade cut , I just missed one thing i.e hitting dark spot by edge of left and right which help to minimize another guideline, that's life savior. Thanks
This video helps a lot.. it’s the little things that you usually pass over like “don’t be scared to go a little higher because the moving blade is what’s cutting not the guard” and going against the grain .. great video w some real friends
Bro this was awesome tbh I feel like some barbers forget what beginners struggle with. Could you do a video on how to spot dark spots and how to remove them after following the system
everyones hair is different so different growth spots and patterns, what helped me is for example if you have thin straight hair , look up those types of fades so the hair is similar
Reminds me when I first started fading with this method, although now I use different method to fade, I still enjoy watching y’all’s videos, & learn something new. You guys for sure come in clutch!! 💈
I’ve been in barber school for 3 months and I’ve watched hair cuttin videos and outta all of them I watched I always find myself watching y’all’s videos bc I feel like I understand y’all the best so thank you 🙏
Bro. He did an amazing job following your instructions. You gave clear explanations to every step & that was definitely helpful. Great tutorial video overall. 2thumbs up!
I learned to cut my own hair because of you guys already but this vid is amazing usually they make it look so easy and now you can see that its harder than it looks and also the tips and advice that you are giving are more broad and detailed thnx bruh
I’m honestly going to use this tutorial on my man’s hair ! This is the best video I found to explain every detail on what’s going on! Thank you so much! Best teacher
Your methods have answered a lot of simple questions I had that a lot of other videos didn’t I used these methods to actually fix somebody’s cut . Still got a long way to go but I kno my goal of being a barber is achievable
This method of teaching helped give me a better understanding as you provide real time guidance to an inexperienced barber. I wish I had this type of coaching when I did my first few cuts. And I still learned something from this video. Coaching someone through the process allows you to point out and add-on tips and techniques that you normally would not include in your other instructional videos as you are already proficient in your craft but correcting and explaining to someone what you would do helps me as the viewer understand your other videos better. Thank you!
Thanks for talking through this. You broke it down to a science. I’ve been fading myself for a good 6 months and I believe my cuts will now go from pretty good to great. Thank you bro💪🏾
I’ve been trying to cut my husband’s hair thanks for this specific details video I’ve learned sooo much ! I feel more comfortable and I will be watching more of your videos and get my license soon ! Lol thank you !
Wow that was a great idea I’ve been a student watching you guys on TH-cam for over a year. I learned so much. I’ve been cutting my own hair. I just never got a chance to cut anyone’s hair. Discouraging. You guys being there while the beginners cuts it’s such a great idea
I’m stilling improving myself thanks to Sergio and Adrian, although absolutely every-time someone tells me they want to get into barbering I direct them straight to Faded culture and how unique and great the faded culture way works.
You guys give the answers to a lot of people are asking in their heads. I usually think of a question and it literally gets answered in the videos. You should do a TH-cam video where your followers and I send pictures of the hair we cut and show a compilation of pictures. You guys are the best barber teachers and your tutorial speaks for itself when I cut hair. Keep going the way you are going.
@@FADEDCULTURE Nah man, Thank You. I’ve tried different techniques from other YT videos and your technique is it. Im not a barber but now I feel like my consistency is better now than before and way better, people is starting to notice and want me to cut them up. Only problem is the last guideline a lot of detailing, but that makes the cut. I also want to add you guys look cool asf.
Love the video. I been cutting my kids hair, friends and family for almost 5 years. pretty much learned all from TH-cam. This video helped a lot. Please do more like these.
You guys are truly blessed and amazing may god continue to richly bless you both and I am so great full for the classes you both provide keep them coming ❤
These New/Old Tutorials videos 📷 are fire 🔥🔥. Great explanation of everything. I've Learned so much from the Faded Culture Family. Appreciate Y'all.. Blessings to Everyone 🙏💯🙌
Incase everyone was wondering how many times he flicks out when setting in the guidelines it’s 5 and he just keeps working his way from there so count “1,2,3,4,5” and he starts working his way down and then starts his next guideline . Depending on the hair it won’t always cut on the first stroke like he said. 8/10 it won’t so just incase anyone was wondering
Do more videos like this, very good explanation and the fact that we can see how you do it and then how a beginner does it, but at the same time you are there to explain in those situations where a beginner needs help. 👍
Nice. Problem I have doing my own fade is the last 3 steps. When I get done I have a faint line and I've tried to take it only to go up too much. Everything. He did a kick ass job.
I think he did good. I didn’t notice a problem at all. I think he did hecka good. And I’m learning more and more each day I’m a student barber too and who sent me this cut my hair today he is too, anyway this video I started understanding more and more than ever! And I may have been just overthinking thank you!!
Yes faded culture !! You need him more in ya clips to do this cause this helps beginners, with point of view of a beginner. What ya doing right in how to hold the clippers and manipulate the tools to shape of the head . You get more views from beginner barbers for sure. Season barber can do this without even thinking bout . Muscle memory

this view is a really dope concept. so many nuggets because of how you are actually teaching someone first person. I dig it! keep doing what y'all are doing!
Good job!! The cut came out amazing!! Pretty soon you will be flicking the wrist to some “O.T. Genesis “Cut it” with some swag in to it lol . Easy to follow teaching great job Adrian👍
I started by barber journey about 2 years ago man. I use a different fading method now but thanks for helping me along the way guys. I feel like I can keep up with barbers who’ve been doing this 5-10 years. And I’ve seen your channel grow like crazy throughout these two years 💙 For new barbers, they say “trust the process” and it’s true. It’s not easy. Trying to get better while also trying to build your clientele. The payoff is worth it though. Just stay consistent
It’s hard blending up starting from guard 1.5 to 3 because I don’t know how far up to go kind of get lost when I use the 2 guard and also needed to use clipper open to finish taking out the middle line after I took out the 1st guide line, came out nice overall for my first time self cut
Awesome bro, love the technique just use the half way technique because my blades are set a little closer, but still works fine,my man did an great job he should establish a clientele with no problem.
Really appreciate this video. It helped a whole bunch understanding the details. Can you please do more videos like this specially with connecting clipper over comb..
He did a great job just came across your page and it’s very helpful to use your knowledge as it helps me learn proper barber techniques in my salon for when I do men’s haircuts I’m a all rounder hairdresser and do mainly woman Colours and Corrections I’m good at men’s cut but this is next level very good video with step by a faded haircut I guarantee I’ll get a better fade now thanks heaps Regards Jennifer
