It’s taken me 40 yrs to realise the tingles I’ve had since childhood are ASMR . Page turning and nail varnish bottles are powerful triggers. Turns out my 9 yr old also has it too!
30 something years for me....I just looked up tingles on top of my head and the search led me to this...Maria was one of the first asmrtists I discovered...the first was Amalzd with her Arabic accent nail video....
My dad passed away 20 years ago but if he were here today, I'm sure he would be proud that his son falls a sleep watching an elegant lady showing off her nail polish collection.
I used this when I would study while I was in nursing school. Then I used it to sleep after stressful shifts during the height of the pandemic. I’m so thankful I found ASMR and Maria over 10 years ago now 😌

She was even the first to hit 1m, all ASMRists looked up to her and I think after 1m she got married and had a baby so she doesn't have as much time to make videos as she did before but Maria was the first to introduce me to ASMR her old videos are still so good you can check them out.

I do this too! I don't use earphones though, and get some funny looks when another member of staff walks in. The lady who cleans my classroom is so used to it now and has grown to like the "background noise" as she calls it. I get serious anxiety when school's finished for the day, and I start working through my to do list. Maria and Yanghaying sort that out for me 😊

Non-engaging ASMR videos are some of my absolute favorite. This one and the crystal cataloging video you did a while ago have given me the most tingles. It's nice because I don't have to necessarily listen to what is being said or follow along. I would love to see more of these in the future!

She is a genius. Hands down. I have known that I have been asmr sensitive since I could recognize what it was...at about 4 years old. That was 36 years ago and she is the only one that can give me the tingles over and over. She is amazing.
While this type of video is not always my top pick, it is such a blessing when I have a migraine! Nothing too harsh to set it of but something to tune into to help distract until it goes away. I love the verity you make Maria. It shows your loving heart that you make sure to have something for everyone and for every situation!
Totally agree. If I get a bad migraine and need to fall asleep I will put on a video like this. Anyone else's channel is very irritating to me in those moments but Maria is the best. ♥️

I absolutely love non-engaging asmr. That even counts if theyre doing face attention like brushing but arent really saying much to me or are talking to themselves. It just relaxes me more because i dont have someone talking to me.

I think this is my favorite asmt video of all! My grandmother used to have a Hair Salon and I spent so much time going there when I was a kid, playing with the manicure's nail polishes 🤣 she passed away this year and everytime I have anxiety over this, I watch this video because it calms me down and brings me good memories about her.

The downside of hair that grows really fast is that you only get a style to last a few weeks! My own hair was a nice short bob a few months ago. It's now down to my shoulders. SO expensive to keep getting it cut.

I've never listened to an ASMR video before - only just a few seconds here and there to see what they were - but an online friend said they played this in the background while doing other things before bedtime and wow! It works! I loved this. It wasn't distracting at all, but did give me a feeling of peace and comfort and helped to quiet my mind. Very homey. I'm going to save this link and recommend it to friends. Yes, she and darryl created that line of polish. Due to personal reasons, they weren't released. She talks about this in a previous video. Maybe someone remembers exactly which one and they can comment below. Good catch!
See, and I prefer unintelligible videos. All other videos my brain is trying to process what's being said and I focus on that instead of letting my brain turn off and fall asleep. The light unintelligible whispers and background noises are what get me to sleep pretty quickly.

I love ASMR videos that are seemingly unintentional. And videos like this one take me back to when I first experienced tingles as a child. Some of my first were when I'd accompany my mom to a small specialty shop near our house, and the ladies would handwrite the receipts for the items purchased. Another example is when librarians would stamp the date on the books that were being checked out. Maria, I started watching your videos not long a after you started your channel, and I've watched you grow as an ASMRtist and person over the years. I always find very soft or unintelligible whispers soothe and calm me immensely whilst I work. I immediately feel everything start to drop, nerves, blood pressure, tension.... I just relax and work beautifully ❤️

Maria, I love your whispering but this type of video gives me the most tingles. My first experience with ASMR was waaaay before it was a thing, about 40 years ago when I was in grade school. It happened while I was watching a classmate drawing a picture. I guess that's why I was drawn ( no pun intended) to Bob Ross. Watching and hearing someone draw, write or paint is a big trigger. Good question, thank you! If I write scripts for videos I write in the language I'll be speaking in that video, if Russian video then Russian words written etc 🙂 . If I make a grocery list or a diary note, lets say, I write in English. I think English is now easier for me to use ❤ Hope this answers it.

I absolutely love non-engaging asmr. That even counts if theyre doing face attention like brushing but arent really saying much to me or are talking to themselves. It just relaxes me more because i dont have someone talking to me.

The downside of hair that grows really fast is that you only get a style to last a few weeks! My own hair was a nice short bob a few months ago. It's now down to my shoulders. SO expensive to keep getting it cut.

I've never listened to an ASMR video before - only just a few seconds here and there to see what they were - but an online friend said they played this in the background while doing other things before bedtime and wow! Yes, she and darryl created that line of polish. Due to personal reasons, they weren't released. She talks about this in a previous video. Maybe someone remembers exactly which one and they can comment below. Good catch!

The whispers so low you can't hear give me anxiety, I keep trying to hear what's being said.. everything else about the video I love.
See, and I prefer unintelligible videos. All other videos my brain is trying to process what's being said and I focus on that instead of letting my brain turn off and fall asleep. The light unintelligible whispers and background noises are what get me to sleep pretty quickly.

I love ASMR videos that are seemingly unintentional. And videos like this one take me back to when I first experienced tingles as a child. Some of my first were when I'd accompany my mom to a small specialty shop near our house, and the ladies would handwrite the receipts for the items purchased. Another example is when librarians would stamp the date on the books that were being checked out.
Maria, I started watching your videos not long a after you started your channel, and I've watched you grow as an ASMRtist and person over the years. I am so happy to see where you are today, especially since you are now only 40 minutes away! Lol

Maria, I love your whispering but this type of video gives me the most tingles. My first experience with ASMR was waaaay before it was a thing, about 40 years ago when I was in grade school. It happened while I was watching a classmate drawing a picture. I guess that's why I was drawn ( no pun intended) to Bob Ross. Watching and hearing someone draw, write or paint is a big trigger. Good question, thank you! If I write scripts for videos I write in the language I'll be speaking in that video, if Russian video then Russian words written etc 🙂 . If I make a grocery list or a diary note, lets say, I write in English. I think English is now easier for me to use ❤ Hope this answers it.
