@Carbon Scoring, I'm so sorry to hear about the flooding, but I'm happy to hear you and your loved ones are ok. My parents live north of the Tampa area. They moved inland for Hurricane Helene and returned home to find 15 inches of water inside their house due to storm surge, which hadn't flooded in its 44-year history. Thankfully, they are ok.
@@CarbonScoring , I wish I wasn't underemployed at the moment or I would happily donate. My parents have insurance but I know the difficulties of those without insurance and the insurance companies trying to take advantage of their paying customers. I support your initiative 100% and wish I could contribute. ❤️
Can't stop the Mystery Box! I am glad you and your family are safe and sound and you are making the best of a horrible situation. Props for keeping an optimistic attitude and doing right for other people with your donation goals.
I'm so very, very sorry that this happened to you and your family. I'm also happy that you all are safe. I really respect the fact that you still have a sense of humor dealing with all of this. Wishing you folks all the best, sir.
I’m glad you guys are ok. I live in Canton, NC and the hurricane wrecked our little town. Part of the back wall of my garage fell in. I still need to clean it out but every time I go out there it’s depressing. Other than that we’re all good. Thanks for sharing.
Although it’s unfortunate what happened to the Secret Lounge, I’m glad to hear your home was relatively unscathed by the storm and your family was safe.
I am so sorry to you and everyone who experienced this. I already gave this week to the Red Cross. And will do more next pay period. I live in Florida and as I type this we have a cat 2 coming right at us. So I am bringing stuff inside and preparing. Hopefully everyone can return to normal or better than normal soon
Glad you’re alright buddy. Thats the main thing. Great collections. Glad you got to rescue them. Break out the trusty hairdryer time. Sorry to hear about the destruction. My heart goes out to everyone.🙏💙👊☮️
Glad you and your family are safe Trey. We also were very fortunate. FYI that was Sunfire with the vac metal shoulder pads! Kind of a cool look. Very 90's!
Your calmness and thoughtfulness during this time are truly inspiring, CS! I'm so glad you and your family are safe, and you only had to deal with some herculean cleanup. Donated!
A close friend of mine had his MOTU collection in a tote and his home flooded here in East Tn. I'm currently in the process of restoring them back to their former glory for him
That is a good deed! My heart is with everyone that has had damage from these storms - if you can help him get a little bit of his life back, that is a good thing
I never thought we'd see such destruction in this area. Along with friends losing homes, we lost multiple bridges. Our damn that was built in 1912, had twice as much water flowing over it as Niagra Falls at one point. She held tho! Apologies for replying 3 weeks after your poat. I just came across your channel. Hope all is well as can be now!
That's awful. I'm so sorry for you. I hope none of your prized figures were damaged and that your insurance can cover. You're definitely getting all my hopes from Ontario Canada.
Glad your okay. About seven or so years ago I lost all of my old toys and books. I had from 1977 til about 1994. All gone. My old comics and wrestling magazines all destroyed . I tried to rebuild but I never happened. My second attempt failed to , we had another battle again . I pretty much have giving up. I wish you luck.
I'm a collector and I can understand being worried about your collection, sh!t I'd be worried too... but bro, my house. I'd be so worried about my house being ruined, the place where I live! My home! I don't think I could think about my figures until I knew my home was good. But no hate, I get it and I wish this guy the absolute best.
Yes, I left all that stuff out. We all made sure our entire family and friends were taken care of before focusing on this. This was a legit dangerous storm
I would never even be a collector if i lived in FL. Stuff isn't safe anywhere...if it's not in your house, it might be in storage-- which could still flood during a hurricane just like your home. Would be too painful to lose lifelong collectibles to a hurricane.
Brother's got a lot of work, but it'll get enjoyable as the job goes forward. 1 get all the toys picked up and accounted for. 2. get a couple bottles of dawn and one of bleach. 3. go to work. The Bleach is for sanitation and mold removal, the Dawn is to get the stank and grime off them. Stuffs been underwater, so it's got to get a full total cleaning.
So sorry you got some flooding! But so cool you got such a good attitude about it and even made a fun video to keep schooling us on all these characters. We’re expecting another hurricane next week here in Tampa Bay, but hoping my house will be ok!
When it comes to the hot toys figures if I were you, I would take the fabric clothes and use woollight soap. I collect Mego and that’s what I do for their clothing. Sorry if the soap isn’t spelled correctly glad to hear you and your family are safe.
Damn, I’m really sorry you got affected by this hurricane. Great attitude though! Sending positive vibes from the PNW! I’m happy you and your family are safe.
I like your toy biz marvel collection. I also have a big display for my toy biz figures. It was cool to see some of the figures I still need. I collect lots of vintage and these figures don’t get the love they deserve. Some of these are extremely hard to find now in the wild and people should reconsider how amazing some of these figures are. One of my favorite pieces I have is the giant sentinel cause it looks amazing with the X-men figures. Thanks for sharing
I hope the damp air does not effect your carded display as you enter the Secret Lounge. Looking forward to seeing you show how you upgrade the Lounge. 🙂
I love your attitude and your ability to bounce back. You’re genuinely one of the most positive and amazing creators on this platform. Keep up the great work.
I'm glad most of it looks to be easily dried off plastic, I had never thought about flooding.. could have been boxes of books and comic books. It could have been a whole lot of paper memorabilia instead of plastic for sure.
Unfortunately, if you’re in a humid Environment, like South Carolina, North Carolina. You’re gonna have to invest in a dehumidifier and there’s nothing wrong with throwing some of those hot toys in a big bucket of rice. Same technique you do when you used to drop your iPhone or your cell phone in the toilet.😊
Industrial fans Heaters? Infrared lamps? Would these help with the problems you are worried about regarding bacteria and anything else growing on the figures/clothing?
ON THE HOT TOYS if you have a massive floor dryer (like you use when a leak happens) and put them in front of them it will help!!!! I knew a guy in 2022ush when New York was getting flooded that used that for his mezco and it did wonders! Best of luck to you
Also those little desiccant little packs, you can get some of those and to put with your action figures to help with moisture.. I know that there's a salt trick that you can do. If your phone gets wet then you put it in a bag with salt I think but I don't know for sure... But the little desiccant packs would be good for anytime as long as it's not in reach of a child or animal that might try to ingest it (it's the same things that come in medicine bottles, usually it's a little paper looking pouch but sometimes it's around bead looking thing)
@@CarbonScoring thank you so much. We need all we can get. I didn't lose power but everyone around us did. My hometown was completely destroyed tho. It will take months to fix and rebuild everything destroyed. It's not even walkable in some places much less drivable.

For the hot toy, have you thought of using dry rice to do the same as a cellphone it should work so Goodluck
It a bad idea!
@Carbon Scoring, did you try putting the cloth toys in sunlight or at least with fans to dry them out? Mold generally doesn't like sunlight.
