I really liked how Miller's VA is imitating Liquid Snake, i hope if MGS1 get a remake he get the role of Liquid (and add some Phantom Pain references too)
It sounds uncanny how well he does the voice. I prefer the original, of course, but it was hard to tell between clips from the original and the remastered clips.
FΞLIPΞ PALHA It’s pretty cool how they got him to do a Liquid impression, too, because in MGS1, Cam Clarke also voiced Master (McDonnell Miller), and in this, Kaz’s VA is also doing Liquid (well, an impression, anyway). Neato detailio.
“Commence deja vu mission” I think this is a reference to “Commencing Virtuous Mission” from the MGS3 prologue. EDIT: Oh damn, a ❤️ from George himself. While this is visible, might mention a couple things George missed. Firstly, work down the cliff to the right of where you start, and go to the rock just outside the small cave where you normally hide Paz and Chico in the Ground Zeroes mission. You should find a cassette tape. If you do this in Deja Vu, the tape will include Resurgence (a remix of Encounter), and the original 8 bit Theme of Tara. Would’ve liked to see more tracks but oh well. In Jamais Vu, go to the same rock, grab the tape and on this tape there will be Pleasure of Tension from Snatcher, and Ambushed from Metal Gear Solid Rising. Also, if you’re trying to do the quiz make sure to get all 7 scenes. When doing the Smoke Grenade/Chaff Grenade Spotlight scene, DON’T try to get the grenade without knocking out the spotlight guards. The only reason George was able to pull it off was because he’s the kinda nutcase to speed run MGS3 on E-Extreme as a Vegan. My recommended order of scenes is as follows: first, push far left right out of the gate. See if you can knockout the guard who moves up the left path quickly before he’s on guard. If you don’t, Before you go, get the first prisoner. He’s where Chico is in the main mission. Trust me on this. Then, push past the tower on the left, knock out the guard at the chain link fence, go behind the big metal wall separating the refugee camp and the armory and knockout the guard who looks over to the watch light. Then, go get the guard at the searchlight, knock him out, do a Fox logo then grab hand grenades from the armory. Chuck a grenade into the tank hatch, then (if you CBA doing the other FOX logo. If you can be arsed, you can figure it out. do the following: First scenes I recommend doing are the Hind D scene, so sneak around the helix pads till you’re at the wall between the Security Camera and the Helicopter. Carefully maneauver yourself so the guard under the camera won’t see you, then trigger the Hind D scene. Then, get in the truck and do the “LIQUID!” Scene. Then using the drainage ditch outside the armory outside of the admin building, get the A Surveillance Camera? scene. Next, GTFO and head back over to the grassy slope where Warehouses meet Helipads, sneak along the left side and get in the admin building through the left door where the AA gun is. Next scenes: Blackout (turn off admin building power), KO spotlight guards and move the spotlights away from the Smoke Nade, grab the WU Tranquiliser pistol from the tower and put any guards youCBA dealing with to sleep from now on. Grab the Moai scene, then go visit where Paz usually is and enjoy the pretty colours. Then, go outside and now that the guards are gone from the spotlights it’s a really trivial task to pick up the smoke nade. Do this, then go back into the admin building and crawl into the exfil point. It’ll be on your HUD or your IDroid so you can’t miss it. And that’s that. ...unless you want the FOX logos for Jamais Vu. The first logo is still on the warehouse/east refugee border armoury but the second is now on the floor in front of a watch tower that’s in front of the main admin building. Have fun. I’m going to stop procrastinating and actually do my computer science coursework now lol. EDIT 2: I was wrong about the Jamais Vu Fox logos. 8:44 my reaction to that 🗿
Chatting about mgs would be awesome
I'm so/so on Portable Ops, but I like the cutscenes. Rising on the other hand, completely fits in with the series lore, it just isn't the same as a Koj game.
Brilliant...just brilliant!
Why has no one made a video about the security card door during this mission?
Kojima said something in this game. It's that this game is the last full MGS game he'd be a part of besides Phantom Pain.
man...i miss Metal Gear.
i was 7 when i played MGS1
ahhh...good times when Psycho Mantis gave me nightmares
"Thank you for all your support" Japanese only MGS1 Kojima reference 👌
Using Camp Omega as Shadow Moses? Fantastic. 😁
14:35
Miller's "something, something" reminds me Homer Simpsons "I work hard for the money, so hard for the money.. oh it's something, something, something come on give me lots of honey"
13:38 With this, kojima made it clear that metal gear rising is not canon
It can’t be😢
how the shit do you catch up to all these references? i mean, how do you remember all of this??
After playing through the game 20+ times in less than a year, of course i do.
I have the same kind of memory of the non-portable Ace Combat games (excepting 7, of course) since I've been playing them my whole life. Put enough time into something you enjoy and your mind will take it all in.
Muzel1k He plays these games everyday....
That's how memes work lmao
oh man , I love this critical phone call. No one knows this giant robot flying around hehehehe.
SELF ESTEEM SQUAD!!
MRRRRAAAAOWW
Belisarius Self esteem team*
Likely the ones that don't get erased are ones that didn't appear on mainline consoles as such not as many people are aware of them
And Peace Walker?
Kinda dumb to not have portable ops canon when peace walker picks up from where it left off
Its not about canonicity, its whether or not kojima directed it.
Very cool
Thank you(foxengine)
