It’s a subject I find fascinating. Horn in particular was a very impressive design because despite my unfamiliarity with the game I was able to guess her gameplay style solely from the artists’ design work.

Some great insights here, especially on the Arknights characters (I've only watched Fire Emblem on streams).
One minor nitpick, though is that Leithania isn't based on Germany, but very likely based on Austro-Hungary. In the real world, the river Leithan separates Austria from Hungary, and the two main races in Leithania might also be mirror this separation with goats/Caprinae for Austria and deer/Elafia for Hungary.
Austro-Hungary also encompassed Romania, so the Witch King might also be influenced by Dracula and/or his hitorical counterpart Vlad the Impaler.

In my opinion, the FE Engage artist was assigned to the wrong game. I think their style isn't well suited to mainline FE games. However, I feel that they would have been an amazing choice for a Tokyo Mirage Sessions sequel! TMS was a Fire Emblem/Shin Megami Tensei fuson game with idol elements set in a modern world, so designs like those would have fit in much better there.
Looking at the TMS cast, there is still a common visual language throughout that is missing from Engage. Engage is a good case study of how styles of art within a larger art movement don’t always translate well between mediums. VTubers are not vidya game characters. They’re telos is completely different, which will reflect in their ethos.
