Just watching this video now and I did exactly what you said about flipping back to an area after catching a 1lber and my very next casts I cought a 3lber. It's the last 2 fish in my backyard bass video. Definitely works!

Dude,the Berkeley Gilly is my absolute confidence this time of year. A lot of guys been disappointed with the Gilly and I don't understand because it's absolutely deadly and don't understand how a person couldn't catch with this bait.

Is it the rigging? Because rigging this bait was toughest part for me. I know it isn't made for it but if you'll take a weighted wacky hook (Berkeley fusion 19 makes a good one) and just nose hook the 90 size,it'll stay straight up and swim perfectly...I like to side hook the 110 and I never use the largest size,it doesn't do good at all for me

I have pretty good luck with all sizes of the Gilly rigging it on a shaky head style hook and putting the hook point up in that little pocket on top of the head. Usually with a weight that puts it about a foot or two below the surface.

It's an incredibly cheap way to do bluegill swimbaits, equally successful as far as catching fish.
