I have the same press. Yes I have done about 8 press in wheel bearings so it has paid for itself just for my vehicles. I have done 6 for friends who I don’t charge.
Excellent vid......your a natural educator. Good stuff, very helpful 🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️
That's the truth, saved me money I dont have lolz!!!! Just bought tools and got busy.
Thanks! That was very thorough. Now I know what I am in for. Fortunately for me I just bought that same press at a moving sale for 50 dollars. Guy used it one time.
Nice!!
Great video as usual another trick I saw on another channel to get the bearing to go in easier is to freeze the bearing it shrinks the bearing just enough to make it go in easier then when it goes back to regular temp it goes back to normal size I have been doing it ever since I seen it and it works great!
Yeah I've done that also. :)
Thankyou for your time and advice excellent video and very thorough teaching👍✊
Nice!!
Thank you so much, the video was very helpful to replace my wheel bearing.
Nice!!
The grille is actually chrome underneath black paint, with a good rub-down with laquer thinner. Also fits the hatchback, not just sedan.
Gonna be doing this soon, thank you for the video keep up the good content
Nice!
Thank you for this video. You saved my A$$ today. Keep making great videos!
;D
Things sure have changed since i was at vocational school auto shop back in the 80s and we worked on early 1970s cars....those you could do with a screwdriver, pliers, and a channelock.
Crazy now days!
Great video I did my 4 cylinder tiburon with the harbor freight kit but i had to modify it to fit the hub correctly once I did that it wasn't that bad of a job.
Nice!!!!
I think I am just going to get the whole piece pre made for my Accent, the current one has a lot of Canadian weight reduction, which is the case for a lot of my suspension pieces right now
Nice to have a dlecyioer.
On the east coast, harbor freight is next to out of the 12 and 20t hydraulic presses. They said like 150 total in the warehouse.
So! Just bought the entire moog hub instead. 147$ for everything on rock auto, I can live with that! The exact part is 270$ at advance!
O wow!
Hello my friend good video. A question here you didnt change the metal sheild wish you talked about why you didnt put one
In the UK they don't sell the hub assembly at all 🥺. I need it for my getz crtd. 🥺
Presses are under awesome. But I did this with an old weight set, and literally some disassembled weights. A 5lb weight swung with force will get things moving pretty quick. Just don't miss or you'll be heading to the hospital just as fast!
How did you get the sheet metal shield off?
Can it use dot 5.1 brake fluid
Great video
Did you mention a wheel alignment?
No.
I changed mine and I still get a roaring, humming sound coming from the driver side. Everytime I turn left it goes away. I even changed the cvaxle.
Is it dangerous to re-use the front old hub? People recommend using a new one. Mine is free rust and 154 K miles only.
How do I know how to orient the new bearing?
With "ABS" magnet in line
@@FixingWithPassion Ok, thank you!
Does this bearing have a magnetic side for the speed sensor?
Nope
Great info. Thanks
You should invest in a slide hammer, bearing installer and bearing puller from eBay
Right on man!
GOOOD JOB
I have the same vehicle. How much does it cost to pull out the front frame due to a head on accident into a cement wall. Wish I could send you a picture to show you. To me it doesn't look to bad.
Scotty says $89.87
Down the road. So I'm praying.
@@FixingWithPassion omg thank you, thank you. I live in pa. I'm so hoping with labor it will only cost me under 2,000. So the hood is dented due to the push back. The bumper and maybe the place where the engine is held might be cracked. So crossing my fingers for 2,000. I loooove this car. I know right now it's hard to get a used car at an honest price with few things going wrong. I was so very lucky to find this car on offer up in "my town" a half a mile
What’s the tire size
16"
I forgot to support my race when pressing my hub in.. whoops.
First, you’d be sunk without a press.
