I must compliment. You are the first homemaker your age group that actually topped off your strawberries correctly. Every other one I see cut the whole top off taking good strawberry meat to the garbage. Your pies look fabulous❣️

I was watching this video last night (6/13) just before 10 pm and halfway through my water EXPLODED! I had baby number 4, a boy at 11am on June 14th! My children are girl (6) boy, (4 - almost 5) boy, (3) and now another boy to join the crew!

Whenever I make jam, especially when I can it, if it sets well it's jam. If it sets medium it's pie filling if it's not set well I use it for ice cream topping. For years my family thought it was 3 different recipes. It all still tastes great. I find that the more relaxed I am about it all the more fun it is to do. It's always a hit anyways.
Hey, you know what? Store bought jam has just as much sugar (if not more), but lots of other very questionable ingredients too! I love making jam❤
That's right! That's what my mom says!
In the UK all ingredients have to be listed and so you can see what it contains - store bought jam only usually differs as they use pectin to make the jam set. A way to avoid the use of pectin is to use slightly under ripe fruit as they contain more natural pecin!

Seeing Josh take the rest of the pie to eat out of the tin reminds me of my grandpa. On Thanksgiving, my grandma would make him a whole pumpkin pie for himself. She served it whole in the tin. She made a second pie for the rest of us. He would eat the whole pie in one sitting (after eating his Thanksgiving dinner!)

To carry your drinks....in the grocery store they have cardboard wine and ? Maybe beer holders. When I buy Seltzer water, i put them IN in the free cardboard things with a handle and they ring it out. Then I reuse the cardboard thing for all my drinks, spraypaints, shampoos, etc.

Using a baby carrier on your back (baby faces back) is such a life changer when u have many kids. It feels like a backpack and the babies are often (not always of course) happy there when they aren't playing on their blanket. I wouldn't have survived my 4 kids without.

I don't love coconut water either, but I haven't been drinking nearly enough water lately and started topping my big "mom travel cup" (about the last 1/4) with Target's brand coconut water. It's been really pretty good watered down like that and it's got me drinking more water.

Love strawberry season! Your pies look delicious! I grew up eating strawberry pies, but my husband and kids aren't fans, so I rarely make them. They do love a good fruit pizza with lots of fresh strawberries though! (I have one chilling in the fridge) 😋

I use the same recipe and I always triple or quadruple the recipe and it always turns out great for me! I probably make strawberry jam two or three times a year but I usually use frozen storebought strawberries because I don't currently have enough strawberry plants of my own. It works great!
So many pretty strawberries! I was supposed to go strawberry picking last week but the place cancelled because they weren't ripe yet! I am glad that they were ripe where you went picking!
Gotta love watching those ball games. Those are fun. I used to watch my brothers and my dad in their softball leagues (and I played softball myself).

I love Wendy's breakfast. Swiss cheese with an egg and bacon on a croissant. Really good sauce. Highly recommend it. Get the potato things too. I still have "Hope's Table". It's really nice, where I live there's an outreach church that comes here. It's really nice.

A moms only pool day sounds amazing because you never get to enjoy it while watching littles and keeping them safe. We live in AZ, and I told my hubby that next time we hire a sitter we should just go over to our HOA pool by ourselves.

Jam is always fun to make. I enjoy making an apple and strawberry jam as it's less sugar and doesn't require a jam setta.

Hi Megan gosh I remember the strawberry pie last year while Josh was painting what a difference a year makes. Pool party looked amazing how lovely for your friend I love the way you all take food flowers and drinks. Although we tend to say Jam or preserve in UK the fact you blend your fruit does make it a jelly, we leave our strawberries chopped. I just love the tunnel bridge you drive through it reminds me of US movies it’s so quaint. Have a great weekend xxxxxx
i used to make jam the old fashioned way. fruit, sugar and cook it down 'til it's the right consistency. it was so delicious!
That is making jam - what Megan has made is not jam, more like a fruit puree. Lemon juice helps with the setting, no need for pectin.

Wow! It seems high there, in Wisconsin I think it was 1.75 a pound last year... Our neighbor brought us a couple quarts for free yesterday and I am looking forward to picking a punch to freeze!

Can't remember what video it was of yours but I wanted to let you know about some gardening hacks to help you water and keep soil moisture or help soil Drainage. Perlite and moss. Also can bury 2 litter bottles or gallon jugs with holes in them in the soil by the plants and fill with water to help water better.😊
