I am really looking hard at buying a nucanoe as opposed to all of the other fishing kayaks out there. the payload far exceeds all others, its nearly untippable under more than standard conditions. the clean slate approach leaving almost unlimited rigging possibilities and the propulsion choices.

I love mine to death. It’s a lot of yak for a single guy. But it’s doable. And you can comfortable seat two if needed. My favorite part is building it up for whatever I need and ripping it all apart after.
Another huge plus is how durable it is. You can take it anywhere 👍!
Hello, can you please tell me if this canoe comes with out the pedals. I am a senior and want something super simple with a high seat and trolling motor. Or do they make a plastic kayak with a high seat. Either I would want to add long outriggers. I hope you can write me. Thank you. Nov 14, 2023
@@suesturges6022if your still wondering I got mine from a local dealer and it came without the pedal drive, had to pay extra to get it.
I felt like a genius yesterday cause I used the built in pulley and clinch in the Unlimited to make my own pulley system to raise my trolling motor up safely while in the drivers seat. Now I know that’s what they were intended do 😂

Thanks for posting this vid. Im looking at this for my first fish kayak. A couple questions. How is the seat comfort without the cushion? Where did you get the cooler for the seat?
Actually the seat without a cushion is just fine. I had this cushion with my previous kayak. As for the cooler it was on Amazon...search under kayak seat coolers. Lots of brands! Btw, can't go wrong with this kayaka. Wish I did this from the very start!!!
I would really like one of these. I actually had a brand new one on order but cancelled it because it was taking forever to come in. That was during Covid however. I bought a used native slayer max and like it, but I really wanted this one. Maybe in the future if I come across a used one, I’ll pick it up. How heavy is this kayak? My native is really heavy.
Sorry you weren’t able to get the NuCanoe. With out the pedal drive attached it is around 85 lbs. in my opinion pretty light and oh so extremely stable!!
@@coloradohrfishin1966Yeah, I really want to sell my kayak to get this. I would love to put a Xi3 trolling motor on it. The pedal drive is cool as well but I absolutely cannot believe it’s the same price as a GPS Xi3 😳. Wow

So how do you like the stability??
Before with my Hobie Passport there was no way I can fish the main lakes. With this NuCanoe...I have no problem at all and stand even at times with some boat waves coming over. Stability is top notch!!!!!
Can the whole pivot drive system be taken off to where its just what they consider a padel kayak ?
Yes it can be taken off completely and it is very, very easy to do!!
