I’m gonna miss experiencing the simple things such as cleaning my piggy’s cage. Last night he passed away from a tumor we didn’t even know was there. he was the best pig ever and imma miss him 💕
You can always adopt another guinea pig when you feel mentally ready and heal from a loss of your dear boy. Wishing you the best
@@anubisbutgay that’s what my parents have been telling me but bc I’m a high schooler and Guinea pigs have quite the lifespan, I’d be off to college in a couple of years and I don’t wanna be away from the piggy or make my parents become solely responsible for it :( thanks for the well wishes though, they mean a lot ❤️

I'm not sure if it's just a precaution here in the UK but the vet advice for bonding a neutered male with females is to wait a minimum of 6 weeks, but ideally 8 weeks post surgery to be on the safe side.
They are all so precious. They have the best pig dad in all of the world
It should be a law, that any prospective guinea pig owner should be made to watch 3 of your videos. Five is better, whether or not you are willing to put in the time, work and expense will become very clear at this point! A friend of mine babysat 2 piggies for a week and I had never even held one before, but I totally fell in love. So adorable. Watching the work and the money necessary for truly happy, spoiled piggies; No thanx, I'll keep my two kitties. But I'd love to visit some for snuggles and just watching them.

I may be a little late but The pig room has rlly helped me with getting guinea pigs I won't be getting them for a few more weeks but I have their cage, fleece and toys!
My shop vac sucks up the fleece so I have to shake the 💩 in a pile and vacuum that 😂😭
I JUST finished cleaning my girls' cage and sat down to relax. Now I have the perfect video to watch! :)
For anyone with pigs that get poop and hay outside the cage use a bedsheet on the bottom half of the cage. It keeps mess in and pigs are less scared.

I would just like to let you know that your hay, the Timothy hay, is EXCELLENT!! I'm becoming obsessed with it, it's absolutely perfect Timothy hay, very soft stems, very moist and leafy, not wet when I say moist, just very fresh and not dry or stalky stems, and it's less dusty then my other hay, which I like, Small Pet Select hay and other piggy items from Small Pet Select as well. Their hay is very nice, but dusty lately, however yours wasn't dusty at all, and it's beautiful!! I wanted to ask you if you could do a box with at least 5 lbs., because I have 5 guinea pigs, and they like hay piles, so some does get wasted. I'm wanting to order again, so let me know if you can do a larger box, although I see the box is full when it comes, so I don't know if it's possible right now. Nice video!
I waited 5 weeks after my male pigs neuter before introducing him to the ladies just to be safe haha, i believe my vet told me 4 weeks but i wanted to just be sure.
I’m going to be waiting at least 4 weeks! I think that is a safe timeframe to bond with some females 😊
Ollie is so cute! I really appreciate that you took the time to explain how important it is to feed your skinny pigs/Baldwin pigs more than you would your "normal" guinea pig. I don't know if you've seen Alyssa's newest pet vlog video, but her skinny pig Noodles is looking awful. My heart actually hurts for him. His spine is showing, his hip bones are sticking out, and he sits with a hunched back. It's so important, for everyone who wants to own a naked piggie or owns a naked piggie already, to know that Ollie is a perfect example to follow! He looks amazing. I have received some messages pertaining to this exact thing so I had to look for myself and I have to agree. Alyssa and I’s differences aside, it’s clear to me he is not getting the proper nutrition/enough food to maintain a proper body weight which is super important when it comes to skinny/Baldwin pigs. For Ollie, I feed him almost double the amount of pellets than my other piggies get, multiple top ups of fresh hay throughout the day and an extra leaf of lettuce and pepper for dinner. These breeds require a bit more work than other pigs so it’s important if you own one, do proper research.

I've been taking all our plastic hides and flooring to the manual car wash and spraying them with water because its so much easier :)

If your cleaner that is a from a concentrate is not mixed at the right dilution, and is over diluted, it’s going to not kill the proper amount of viruses, bacteria and fungal spores that is claims it would. Plus it needs to sit for a certain amount of time wet, it could need to sit for 10 mins wet.

Hey, Austin! As a skinny pig owner, I can't recommend a humidifier enough. It'll help Ollie's skin a TON. Even with the oil baths, his dry skin is still very painful. A humidifier will make his skin more smooth and he'll be way more comfy, too!

@@andrielisilien I keep it around 55%-60%. Been working perfectly for me for a few years now. A humidifier that's set to auto is best.
Fortunately, your guinea pigs have a wonderful life. With me in the Netherlands there are 400! guinea pigs were taken from a house with a woman who (fortunately) sought help herself because she could no longer care for them. This was on TV. These guinea pigs have gone to a shelter and they expect this number to double as many are about to have babies. So sad....

Hi I love how you look after your Guinea pigs. Would it not be easier and quicker to put the beds in hot soapy water while your cleaning the bottles so the water cleans all the urine off then sanitise before putting them back in?? X

What do people typically use to raise the cages? Folding tables? Or...idk. I want to make a nice huge cage for our girl's last years but it's super expensive and I still don't know how to.

My pigs prefer the Kaytee bottles over the full cheeks ones, I honestly prefer them too, they seem to leak less. Do you have toilet paper rolls/paper towel rolls? My pigs favorite toys are tp rolls with the ends closed full of pellets with holes cut in the sides!
I love watching you, I dont't even have piggies of my own, you are just so sweet. But please please please use gloves when you clean. Touching all that feces and urine can not be good for your health, I am sure you wash up thoroughly, but there can always be something under the nails that you can't see. Please take this as advice and not criticism, you are incredibly kind to your animals and I love that!

It was great to see another video really enjoyed seeing the piggies which is highlight of my week, I also noticed with extra virgin coconut oil it has anti fungal ingredients I had a piggie with a bit of fungus on her ear and this helped to clear it up your an amazing person and I love how much you care and dedicate your time to all your piggies I have 11 Guinea pigs and they are worth it 🎉❤

BTW, your skinny pig is PRECIOUS!! Could you let me know where I might adopt a skinny pig? I know you seem to be plugged in to different rescues and also Craig's list, I did see the thumbnail for Ollie's rescue, I'm going to watch it. I do know they eat alot more then furry pigs, and obviously poop and pee more, which, if I just get one sow, I'd bond her with my other girls. I have 2 huge enclosures, with 2 girls and 3 girls, so I'm sure they'd do well with one pair. He's a very beautiful piggy, absolutely gorgeous, and I know skinny pigs have a better temperament usually aren't as skittish as furry pigs. I guess it could happen, but so far most all skinnies I see are ALOT more tame then their furry brothers and sisters, lol!

summer is starting and i don't want my pigs to get too hot, do you use any cooling mats or have any suggestions on ways to keep them cool?
I have two female what size of cage do you think I should use and they are both 3 years old
7:47 Are his piggies and fleece liners magic or something?? My pigs barely tolerate the little hand held vac I use for my floor and they certainly would not like it in the cage and whenever I try to vacuum or sweep my liners the top fleece layer always gets sucked up even though they are sewn together.
I’m looking for tips on how to bathe mg piggies if any of you guys could share how you do it that would be great!

How often would you give Ollie a coconut oil bath? I have a skinny pig too and I want to stay on top of hydrating his skin. I have been warned about oil clogging pores on hairless guines pigs.
p.s. Ollie is so calm! My skinny pig, Wilbur, cries and whimpers whenever I rub coconut oil on his feetsies and skin 😅 it's enough to break your heart!
How doesn't your hoover suck up your liners?
I find that if you hold the nozzle at an angle, it only sucks up the poop and hay!

They do. With owning small animals, it’s inevitable to run into health related issues. I actually have a vet appointment scheduled tomorrow for my two pigs 🙃

So testosterone is what gets females pregnant😂. You should have said sperm! And the sperm can only live so long and that’s at optimal tempts. The vets prolly know that the sperm left in the tubes isnt able to be used after 2 weeks 😅
