I’m a gymnast and for some reason I don’t get super sweaty at practice but going up and down the stairs when cleaning my piggies cage will make me sweaty and out of breath lol
I love it!!! I had something similar that happened with boba and pumpkin, I had two piggy’s I got that were 5 years old, one died two weeks after I got her, the other bonded amazing with my other piggy’s and now are acting like a mama to them🥰 I love the setup!!

the room looks beautiful! you did such a great job! i dont want to give unwanted advice but i would cover the outlets close to the hay because it could be a fire hazard with the pieces falling onto it. I just dont want you or your family to get hurt!

You have very little landing space for stuff, how about a small folding table in the middle of the rug where you can drop stuff from your hands. Small enough that you wont start piling too much clutter on it and its easy to move around where you need it or fold away.
What do you use for the clear front for the hedgehog cage? That's such a clever idea, rather than the mesh panels! Love the new set up, pity the first bonding didn't work, I had a similar situation. I had a boy vy himself as he couldn't live with another pig without getting v!olent. But then he decided that he wanted to be friends with the pig I got to be friends with my boy who had just lost his cage mate! So it was all change, but it's nice that I've got 2 sets of 2, so no one is lonely. And the previously rude boy with his new buddy now lives in my bedroom, whereas the one he bullies given any chance and his new buddy live in my front room. Which is also nice because I'm disabled and chronically ill, so I basically spend my days either in my armchair in the front room, or in my bed. So I now have friends in both rooms! ❤

Where did you get your Litter boxes for your herd from and where did you get your extra grids from, I need more grids but not sure if I will have to just buy a new cage to get them please keep in mind that I live in Ontario and are not always able to get what people from the states can on amazon
Maybe I missed it, but did you think of putting any of your lights on timers so that it would mimic daytime/nighttime? Even though I have some windows as the days get super short here, I was thinking of doing that. My piggies are in my office too so during the week it’s not an issue, but sometimes on weekends it can be a little bit dark in here if I forget to leave the light on

Hey Autumn! great video x I just have one question? Do the guinea pigs not need natural light (through a window) or do you ever take them outside at all? I know Erins ark has a video on the importance of the sun for small pets here on TH-cam. I don't mean this as hate at all btw just genuinely curious as to what you'll do. I read somewhere that they need to know when its day/night
From my understanding, the main reason sun can be beneficial to small pets is for vitamin d production. However, sunlight through windows does not have enough of an effect to stimulate that, so there's no difference there in a windowless room vs one with windows. I don't really take mine outside. I do have all the lights in my room set on timers in about 12 hour night/day cycles, so my pigs do have a set night and day. I've considering re-hooking up my uvb reptile lamps I'd just have to get new bulbs.

They’d benefit so much from having a bit of outdoor time! Obviously I appreciate that sometimes weather can be a factor! In the uk it’s so common for piggy owners to in the spring/summer when it’s mild outside to have lots of time outside. They’d LOVE the real fresh grass to munch on too. Again I’m sorry if I’m coming across as criticising you. That is not my intention whatsoever. I’m a piggy owner too and I think with animal care no matter what we can always learn new things! xx
