This channel deserves +5million views more than makeup channels. He is so dedicated to every step of the process, fantastic filming, and editing and he choses great people to learn from who come across well on screen whilst their specialist skills are being showcased. Fatastically informative, amazingly produced. Better than a lot of big-budget televisoon documentary series.A network needs to pick this up.

Great video, especially with the gold panner's commentary over the thing. Even if something is too specialized for me to understand, beats the hell out of a video that panders.

Gold Price Per Gram $43.57 Gold Price Per Ounce $1,355.10 Gold Price Per Kilo $43,567.44. while panning is physically demanding, it is also fun, which pays for the entire trip even if no gold is found. I wish I could pan for gold in my state but its illegal even on property i own. according to my state, all gold and silver thats found in streams in my state etc even if it is on your own property all belongs to the state.

It’s pretty decent. Anyone looking for an authoritative history of The earliest human economics should seek out Dr. James C. Scott’s lectures on TH-cam.
The earliest currencies were most likely grains themselves, which were seized as taxes by what was essentially a protection racket which became governments as they grew, developed writing systems and formalized debts.

Debt was use as a system before money. It was used everywhere and that is what we actually find when we look. In fact debt was the most common system for many people up until the about the 1800s.

1:42 thank you so many people get this wrong. even before currency there was the idea of debt so bartering was not always necessary esp locally. It was traders that move long distances that you might or might not see again that money was really barter and currency was necessary.

As a kid, part of an excursion to the Bathurst race track was a gold panning session. We actually got a fair bit out. Might try it again some day, got a couple old sources in mind

I love panning for gold but we don't really have any here in Arkansas and I just have to do it the rare times I travel out west on vacation. I mean, we might have a little somewhere but I've never been able to find it. These videos remind me of a time when I actually felt like doing hobbies. I used to have a new hobby every week when I was younger. Woodworking, blacksmithing, gold panning, metal detecting, horticulture, chemistry, electronics, etc... Now I just can't get myself to do them anymore. I guess I'm getting old and tired and don't have the will to have hobbies. I'd like to change that though..

No way he will be able to make any sort of modern processor, but maybe a physical computer. I think it would be great if he made his own battery and light bulb, since that is much simpler and might be possible (I'm thinking about how the light bulb would be recreated with basic tools)
