Two Icons from my childhood. I am the youngest in a female majority family. My much older sisters loved "That Girl" as did I. I loved the theme song it made me run to the TV and dance I was like 3. I stayed with my retired Grandparents during the day and they LOVED Mr. Donahue as they called him. I colored quietly while he was on. But I grew up to watch his show on my own when I hit 4th grade and became a Latch Key Kid. By then "That Girl" was in reruns in the afternoon and Phil Donahue came on at 4. So literally they kept me company in the afternoon until my parents came home. Legends, Icons, Groundbreakers no wonder they fell in love. Thanks to you both for helping to shape me into a well adjusted man.
April and May 2020. Working from home 12 hours a day with my computer from work set up next to the TV. While working I had the news on the TV with the sound turned down. Then at lunch 12:00 till 1:00 was my saving grace. 2 episodes of That Girl took me away from all the craziness for one hour. Thank you Marlo. Thank you That Girl. :)
Marlo Thomas is a truly remarkable woman. She just turned 84 last November and she still looks like she's only about 40. She looks young enough to be that guy's daughter. It's amazing how she keeps herself looking so youthful at that age.
Cue their response to Drew's question about Prince Harry and Meghan. They responded that they feel sorry for the Queen 😐. I think Drew was caught off guard by that.

I worked for her many years ago. I can tell you that she is a great actresses, the best! She is NOTHING lime to the characters she has portrayed, she treats people that work for her like human garbage. I was never treated so badly my whole life. She is a total she devil.
It's weird that is mentioning madalyn Murray O'Hair because I remember seeing her on TV when I was just a kid and I don't know if it was Phil Donahue or another show but my mother was saying what a horrible woman she was . And then it was only maybe five years ago I found out what a horrible death she died ... terrible story
Why not start with Marlo on her dad's show. This was before she had her jose altered, and turned all liberal. Now she sound all nasal, like someone id pinching her nose. She used to be pretty on her dad's show, with her dad's jose.
My mom grew up with “That Girl” and when I told her Marlo Thomas was on today, she immediately went back to that little girl she was back in the 60’s.

It's seems the Mary Tyler Moore show gets all the shine for showcasing the independent woman..That Girl rarely gets mentioned, and it should..
