Subhanallah May Allah ﷻ reward this great scholar of Islam. When you mentioned that every sanad of Hadith goes through the subcontinent, I checked through a few ijazat that I had and surely Shah Waliullah Al Dehlawi was right there as he narrated from his teacher, Sheikh Abu Dahir Al Kurani. This is the power of Isnaad. As the great scholars said: if not for Isnaad, anyone would say anything.
May Allah ﷻ reward you our beloved Sheikh Yasir Qadhi for all your hard work.🤲🏾

If anything we should learn from this lecture & Shah Waliullah Dehlavi's (Rahmatullah Alaihi) legacy, it is to NOT be blinded by our own maslaq, madhab & firqa and appreciate & admire all that is good from everyone & everywhere, be open minded with others, leave some room in Jannah for people of other maslaq & madhab as well. Comment section very soon would have nothing to do with Shah's (RA) life & legacy and people would come up here to proudly claim as he was one of them & they are one of him. Respect! May Allah SWT guide us all, make us steadfast upon the deen and make us a source of guidance for others as well. AmeenYaRabbilA'lameen!

This was written in taweel e ahadith his work. But in his later works he was more literal in accepting Ahadith. He was influence of Falsafa previously and tried to explain away to people on how this event happend to the rejectors
This does not entail Shah Waliullah himself accepted this view
He clearly states he is Ashari in Aqeedah
His son Shah Abdul Aziz was also of mainstream

India of Shahwaliullah was a Muslim ruled and a different India where Islam and mujadids could thrive and do what they did because of that, unlike today’s India being ruled by idol worshiping and anti-Islam Hindus, where most Muslims are either highly influenced by or intertwined even blended with Hinduism and have succumbed to the social pressure to prove loyalty to the ruling idol worshipping Hindus. I wonder how greats like Shah Waliullah and Sirhindi would have reacted or submitted to today’s India?

      To add:
Hadith reached India as early as the 2nd Century of Hijra via Muslim conquests. However the extent of actual hadith compilations that were available and studied was mainly:
Mashariq Al Anwar By Imam Saghani RA
Masābih Al Sunnah by imam Baghawi RA
And Mishkat Al Masābih (Which is a revised and expanded version of Masābih Al Sunnah).
It wasn't until Shah Waliullah Dehlawi RA that the Sihah Sittah (6 Sahih) hadith canons started being taught after.

This loos ended the power of the Mughals in South Asia.

BUT remember Allah is the best with justice..
You want to analyse a personality??
Better do it with the works done by the person..
Shah waliullah helped indian muslims against the marathas by calling SHER-E-AFGHANISTAN AHMAD SHAH ABDALI...
LET'S WORK ON THE DISEASES OF UR HEART AND ASK ALLAH FOR SAME..
      Assalamu alaikum
