@@hashh2019they think ill of the closest companions of our beloved prophet saws and believe in the mystical powers of hidden imams. Unity has to be on strong bases. We cannot unite under false false, deviant and negative beliefs. Shaykh Qasi is in no way suggesting that Shi'ism is equal to Sunnism and that we should all unite. That's a proposterous idea.

Imam Ja'afer As-Sadiq is revered and admired by all Muslims, that includes Sunnis, as a source of Islamic knowledge and Fiqh.
So, it is a bit surprising to see that this came as a surprise to a Shia brother.
This shows how much a gulf of misunderstanding exists between two groups of Muslims, as a result of ignorance about each other.
We all should be grateful to Sheikh Yasir Qadi for bridging this gap and making Muslims aware of their common Islamic heritage.
We are all Muslims and Imam Ja'afer As Sadiq was our great scholar and developer of Fiqh.

Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr had no relationship with his father Abu Bakr.
In fact Muhammad's mother was married to Imam Ali. Thus Muhammad was raised by Imam Ali. So it's understandable that his daughter marries into the Ahlulbayt
But this doesn't really mean there was friendship between Imam Ali and Abu Bakr
Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr was a follower of Imam Ali. So the relationship of Imam Ali was with Muhammad bin Abu Bakr not his father Abu Bakr

@@mkshikhaShia don't take the fiqh of Jaffar ibn Muhammad directly from him, there are many transmitters who have narrated from Jaffar ibn Muhammad yet they are cursed by the Imams in their own sources. For example Zurarah ibn A'yun and Hisham ibn Hakam were cursed by the Imams yet Shia claims that the Imams could have lied and saved them from the ruler. So how do we know if the Imam has done taqqiyah or not?. Shia neglects Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik who actually were the students of Imam but they take from those people who were cursed by the Imams. If you follow any sunni fiqh, you might follow the teaching of Imam Jafar as both the prominent Imams of sunni took that knowledge of Islamic science from As Sadiq.

Very nice and polite discussion and lecture. Without any La'aan on Shias. I would like to mention 2 points here with my limited knowledge
    1. You said Fiqh of Jafar e Sadiq resembles overall the Fiqh of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik. Infact it is other way around as both Imams of our Ahle Sunnah brothers were students of Imam Jafar AS.
    Here is a mathematical mathematical example: Set A=(X,Y,Z), Set B = (Y,Z)
So B is subset of A but not the other way around.
    2. Ahle Tasheeh, followers of Imam Jafars school of thought never referred to themselves as followers of Fiqh e Jafari. Instead it was other people who titled them as followers of Imam Jafar thus Fiqh e Jafaria came into being.

Dr Qaadi, thank you for your lecture on Imam as-Sadiq. We, the Sunni, consider him the sixth Imam from Ahlulbayt a.s. and one of the twelve khulafa foretold by RasululLah sawas. You left out some very basic pieces of information. I hope it was a human lapse, not a deliberate attempt to cover up. I waited to hear you say in your lecture that Hazrat Ali raised Imam as-Sadiq’s maternal grandfather, Muhammad bin Abi Bakr, so he was different in character than his half-brothers. Also, it would have been intellectual honesty if you had informed the audience that Imam Abu Hanifa was a pupil of Imam Jaffer as-Sadiq. Imam Malik also learned from him. It would help if you had also mentioned how and who killed Muhammad bin Abi Bakr. An intellectual ought to be honest. We ahlul Sunna believe that love of and obedience to ‘aaimma Ahlulbayt a.s is waajib/mandatory on us by AlLah’s and Rasulullah’s commands. They are not ordinary scholars as you tried to portray Imam Jaffer. These aaimma are urwatul-Wuthqaa , Tafsir of Hadith e Thaqlayn and custodians of knowledge of RasululLah sawas. Your view doesn’t represent the mainstream Sunni view. Please do not paint us all into one stripe.

      Fun fact u r shia
I just hate the shit talk said by shia, when they lie that they r sunnis
Hadith tells about 12 khulfa not 12 imams
And from quresh and not from ahl e bait in specific
And hadith doesn't ask for following the 12
And imam abu hanifa and malik following jafar makes tge concept of imamah more of corrupt
Cuz it's just shows that imam malik never told concept of imamah that's why his students were not followers of imamah
And lastly zaid bin ali bin Hussain also didn't consider jafar and bakir as divinely appointed that's why he did revolt without them
And lastly bin abi bakr killed usman ra
And abdurehman bin abi bakr is a sahabi
Yes both of them are not alike,,, when is momin and other is not

Allah all omnipotent bless this man for paving the way for unity of the ummah. Today it's very important indeed.regardless between Shia and Sunni side are some differences but still they share the same fundamental principles of the islam. If today Sunni countries get together with Shia nation they could become stronger against zionist arrogants who killed openly more than 50 thousands opressed Palestinians, 15 thousands children in front of the world. Our Islamic honors , izzah gone under question. But most of Sunni governments just look doing nothing against apartheid regime, instead of get united with shia resistance movements run by Islamic republic of Iran.

Subhan Allah! You have no idea how many people( including maulanas, alims and scholars) with fair degree of knowledge about islam cannot perceive the nuances of that "time frame" ( of that early period of islam) as you have explained. The events, transition and " so called reformation for some" within the time line of islam during particular time frame is of utmost importance for muslims to understand the validity of certain opinion and views. So long Quran & Sunnah is upheld to the hilt let there be no animosity among brothers and sisters.
These are the types of lectures which is an eyeopener and binding force for many from both the "isles" of islam.
May Allah Azuwajal bestow you with more health and knowledge.
    Jazak Allah Khairan.
    NB:
Even if anyone discounts everything but a common point of agreement for both side is Quran.
When the hypocrites come to you ˹O Prophet˺, they say, “We bear witness that you are certainly the Messenger of Allah”-and surely Allah knows that you are His Messenger-but Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are truly liars.

I would say yes and no. I think that the scholars did separate from the rulers early on, and many of them wouldn't work for them or never even visit their palaces. But, at the same time, these rulers needed people to act as judges and arbiters amongst people, so scholar naturally filled that role, because otherwise it would've been someone else who might've judged unjustly.

Jazakallahu khair for this lecture about Imam al-Sadiq (a). May Allah (swt) guide you and us, and grant you and us to be followers of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a).
    A couple of questions:
    1. 15:16 You mention that Abu Mansour al-Saffah had the intention of murdering Imam al-Sadiq (a) but he was awed when seeing the Imam (a) in person. At 17:01 you also mention about Abu Hanifah being awed when seeing Imam al-Sadiq (a). When mentioning the narrative about Abu Hanifah you say "just the fact that this is the great great grandson of the Prophet" (sawa). So the question here is if there has been said similar things about other Hashimites, or non-hashimites to have such an aura and charisma, or just about him?
    2. If the answer to the first question is that it is just about him, then isn't it strange why even though those more knowledgable amongst our Sunni siblings love Imam al-Sadiq(a), you don't have a following amongst you of the fiqh of Imam al-Sadiq (a)?
    3. Which Sunni books mention Imam al-Sadiqs (a) fiqhi, political and theological views amongst Sunni scholars that refer to primary sources?

This is interesting talk from Dr. Yasir Qadhi and his opinion is respected but if you study wilayat and sufism, there are examples of sufis knowing the esoteric knowledge by permission of Allah. The window to that knowledge is not by reading books. There are other ways of gaining knowledge beyond reading or listening. Most of people are not aware of it. You just have to open your mind to other possibilities and not limit yourself.

    • @knightdave1986
      @knightdave1986 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yes.. There can be different windows to gain ilm.. But those ilm can be transmitted to people.. The ilm of Rasulallah is way bigger and sacred than all the sufis and awliyahs.. Still our Rasulallah transmitted those ilm to his ummah.. So there is no such thing called as secret ilm.. Islam is a open (syllabus) book, your exam in Judgment day will be based in that book.. Iman and taqwah will make it easy to understand that book..
But pls don't confuse the ummah with your mythological secret ilm ideology..
Allah's deen is not definitely built upon something secret (dark)..
Such claim is similar to the claims of Christians, who claim to get inspiration from holy spirit... But no one can able to tell what are those inspirations..
