I was there in the car…HE WOULDN’T STOOOPPPP! Damn, this was just divine soap opera storytelling and then Pat…the dominoes to this story kept falling and falling. All under one umbrella. Man, I read the writers and producers took like a year or more to set this up. Wow. Bravo
Actually, that era (mid-to-late 1980s) represented the destruction of the once-intelligent and compelling OLTL. Yes, there were fans who enjoyed the low-brow camp and dumb sci-fi stories, but the show as we knew it was destroyed by all the cast purges and dumbing down of the writing.
@@MattFrameWell said. I always said OLTL began the eighties with the brilliance of Karen Wolek, Marco Dane and Ed Hall, and ended with the revolting stupidity of Eterna.
I currently watch Young & Restless and it's sad to think how far the soaps have fallen. Y&R stories are painful to watch and as that show celebrates their 50th year, it's awesome they can show clips of when the show was good, because Y&R has nothing to celebrate today.
@@Supremmo Larry didn't have bad luck. He wasn't paying enough attention to his woman. No way your woman is a world class escort and you don't know it. Unless you're paying zero attention.
@@heddalee Tony (actor George Reinholt) didn't last long on the show but Pat (actress Jacqueline Courtney) was on OLTL for many years. I didn't know about their roles on Another World for many years later and how I guess the head writer didn't like her way of acting out his writing and Reinholt fought with people about the story or scripts so they both got fired from that show shortly before they got on OLTL. Courtney was on AW for a long time too.
Love OLTL especially the classics like this.
Judith Light killed it!!!
I think some of Dorian rubbed off on Herb! HA HA!! This was a very good episode of a very good show. They never should have cancelled OLTL!!
Agreed!! I still miss it. I was so looking forward to seeing who David's daughter would have turned out to be, and so much more
Karen spilled all the tea that day...

A lot of the cast in this scene are now dead.
The best era of OLTL was the late eighties with Tina, Cord and that crazy Maria!

@@MattFrameAgreed. The show begin to die about 1980.

@@hapgood22 Paul Raunch and the network's insistence on pandering to the sci-fi-loving minority in the audience decimated the once-fine show.
@@MattFrameExactly. The 80s was the beginning of the deterioration of the show. It was great in the 70s.
Judith Light acted the hell out of these scenes!!!
ERIKA SLEZAK, KAREN LIGHT...FINEST ACTORS IN AMERICA. BEFORE MERYL STREEP THEY STOMPED THEIR NAMES INTO HISTORY, PERIODT!
One Life to Live indeed

100% agree Y&R is all over the place & the storylines make no sense
Larry is the only one in that town that feels worse than Karen. He's the biggest trick of all time
Larry had bad luck

1:24 Read the room, Edwina. Read the bloody room.
epic!
I hate that the judge accepts Paul's argument that Herb was engaging in 'conjecture.' He absolutely was not.
I forgot how f**king fast storyline use to go. Edwina is tragic
Wow, I forgot about the child being ran over.
Everything about Pat and Tony was forgettable.

I googled to watch it and the film skipped the most exciting part of her acting!
