Blue Moon of Kentucky (fiddle lesson)

Blue Moon of Kentucky was a waltz written and recorded by Bill Monroe in 1945. It was later covered by Elvis on his first release, but this version was an upbeat 4/4 rockabilly feel. Monroe subsequently re-recorded it using first the waltz, then the 4/4 feel. In this fiddle lesson I demonstrate a simplified version of the melody, then a more complex fiddle version with double stops, and finally a 4/4 version.

Im so so grateful for your video! This song is gorgeous. About to actually watch it through, instead of just partially, im just so excited. What a gorgeous song. Always loved this tune. Played violin 23 years (im in my 30s) but actually tried and did lessons maybe more like 7 (by tried i mean had a less casual attitude.) Thanks buddy
