I hate this trend of not having a spare tire. I have a Honda CRZ and it's a great car except that it doesn't come with a spare tire. Fortunately there is a separately sold spare tire set that you can get to install one (which I have done). It causes there to be a little less storage space in the back but it is well worth the trade off in my estimation. The fixing kits are no proper substitute.
As the report says, the tire is not serviceable once you use that kit.
If you have an AWD vehicle, you cannot replace the one tire, rather you have to replace all of the tires.
@@kennethmelnychuk9737you can patch a single tire. stop discouraging people if they want a spare tire, let them have one. People feel safer driving long distance with a spare tire. The thing is, you must drive a lot slower on a donut/spare tire but the original flat tire can be patched, no need to buy "4 new" or used tires that's ridiculous. 😅
@@AlessandroRhymes: not true, if you have an AWD with new tires and one requires replacing then it’s not a problem to replace it. If the tires on an AWD have wear on them and one tire needs replacing then you have to replace all 4. You won’t have this problem on a 2wd vehicle.
Also many tire shops will not fix a tire that has sealant in it. Many vehicle manufacturers are opting to include a tire leak sealant instead of a spare.

I just bought a new Mercedes Benz C300 and it doesn’t have a spare tire! The dealer told me it has “run-flat” tires, so I don’t need it. The “run-flat” tires are unrepairable, so if I have a flat, I have to drive to the nearest tire shop, order a new tire and have it installed. Yeah? What if I’m on a road trip and the tire shop is closed? Then I have to check into a motel for the night and wait until the tire shop is open the next day? What if my specific tire takes a day or more to be delivered? Then I have a longer stay at the motel? What a “slap-in-the-face” insult to me, a buyer of a prestigious $75,000 car! 😡
Time for the Govt to step in and pass regulations that force all manufacturers to supply a spare or doughnut that is not less than 75 % less in size of the original tyre
I bought a donut for mine and a few years later bought an old matching rim and no have a full sized spare. Make sure you have a jack and a lug wrench. They don't give you those either since you have no reason to lift the car.
Next they will make gas tanks 4 gallons "to save weight & get better mileage"

Everyone should write to their Congressperson. EVERY car should have a spare, it is a huge safety issue.
Some cars never had them or cannot have them. For instance, a sports car might not have one as the weight already was an issue. Lamborghini's don't have spare tires either.
