Wow!! excellent description of the process of fitting a pair of cowboy boots! Over all 'cause the most important thing about comfort, for sure!! thanks for the video
Hard to choose my favorite lol. I’d have to say my Lucchese Rodney stonewashed giant gators. Extremely soft and comfortable. Or one of my roughouts, those feel like slippers.
Good tips on fit. I normally buy 1/2 bigger since I prefer x-toe, Snip toe, pointy toe boots and thicker tall boot socks are a factor for me. All boots fit differently as well as a persons foot.
excellent walk through video man, you should work at a western boot store, you'd be quite the asset!! i love my new pair of Alberta Boot Company boot! i take a 10.5EE
How loose should the boot fit once your foot is inside? If I go up a half size I feel the boot with about 1/4 inch of wiggle room all around. But if it’s tightly snug is it too small of a size?
What size heel should you have if you have a high arch ? I have a pair of Ariat ropers 9d . I want a black pair with silver stitching like the ones you have
That I cannot answer as I am not a foot dr however I would recommend going into a western wear store trying on different styles until you find the most comfortable one for you
I loved tecovas for the longest till I learned more about chisos boots and I had a interesting fit with them if every thing works out with these boots I’m gonna sell all my tecovas 😂
You might need a different size the heel it’s self shouldn’t be tight give it some time tho see if you can break it in or take it too a cobbler or the western store you bought them from they may be able to help
Let me know In the comments your favorite boots you currently own or a pair your looking to buy would love to hear
I like my tan and cognac ostrich boots (2 different pairs), and I want to get a pair of smooth ostrich... and Dan Post Milwaukees lol
I always liked the look of the smooth ostrich
@@kylebird3113 I love the smooth ostrich. Looks great with khakis and jeans alike.
Very helpful instep information. It explains a lot why I have had problems fitting after extensive foot surgery.

I was wondering how gator was
@@kylebird3113 the stonewashing process really makes it soft ans supple. Regulare finished gator can be a bit stiff
@@lucaswhite3850 oh ok I gotcha
@@lucaswhite3850 yeah I felt weird trying on gator. Like it was hard to flex my foot.
You are just great. Great. Big help. Thanks brother
I'm a cowboy boot man. I have a pair of durango ropes, justin work boots, ariats, and two pairs of nocona boots. I love wearing only western wear

What brand are those?
Im 11 D, but depending on the brand it's either, too small, or barely just right
I've found that Cody James and Dan Post fit best for me.
The dan post are the best fit for me as well I like the ariats but dan post I love I have heard good things about Cody James boots
