You can also lay the item on its side to scan it at different angles.

Can you do a comparison video on on the Mini 2 vs Pop 3?

Hello, I see that you have tried many 3D scanners. I am looking for a scanner for mechanical parts that come with radii and shapes that are difficult to measure. Mainly pieces of size 100mm approx. Could you advise me on the one that has convinced you the most? Thank you so much.

Unfortunatelly all hobby scanners aren`t good enough for reverse engineering of precise parts.
These are intended for art usage. Videogames, 3D printing of statues, like shown in this video.
You gonna need metrological grade scanner. Propper scaner for reverse engineering of precise parts gonna be one of Shining 3D Freescan series at $20k range (that`s on cheaper side of metrology scaners)
Generally for engineering purposes you should look in to $5k+ category. Everything cheaper wouldn`t meet your expectations and would be just thrown away money.
Check Peel 3D, Shining 3D Einscan Pro - these would give you somewhat usable scans, just don`t expect them to be super precise.
There are some good information on 3D scanning from engineering standpoint on VisionMiner TH-cam chanel

Einscan-SP or Creality Raptor. Otter is ok but not as sharp corners and can’t scan as deep as the Raptor. Einscan can’t scan very deep too.
I wonder why there are no answers to any questions asked here.

do you have video for scanning a little bigger object, like let's say around 50 or 70 CM high? i know this one Revopoint MINI 2 is meant for small objects but i'm just curious if i can scan little bit bigger objects

Do you realise that just two leds of 6 just flash when click on lightning button. I have same issue. I think they all have to be flash not just two. Might be software issue

I tested the mini, with very detailed religious antique medals: I found that the result was not very accurate, with loss of detail. What would be the result with the mini 2, according to your tests?

Yeah, the next scam from Revopoint. Their scanners just aren't good at scanning anything other than the included white figure.

It depends on the part and scanning spray helps. Adding features helps with tracking. I have a mini V1. The V2 has a wider fov and a chip for anti shake when hand held.
I don’t use the mini that often because it’s really only good for really small stuff.

J'ai testé le mini pour scanner des bijoux des médailles anciennes je trouve pas assez précis. Le mini 2 est toujours à 0,02 je pense dans mon cas ce sera pareil.
