I have a blocked coranary artery which amazingly has bipassed itself! It can rarely happen. I take 1000 mlg of Hawthorne every day, I swear it keeps me active and in good health, along with a mostly vegan diet and exercise yoga, meditation and a strong belief in God s love!
That was a wonderful video and I agree wholeheartedly about the hawthorn tree. Sending you greetings from the United States in Pennsylvania from Hawthorne Hill nature reserve.❤
Found a whole collection of these trees in the air base next to me, a bloke thought I was bonkers for thinking I could eat them! Cheers for another great vid
I did not know crataegus was good for the heart. My mum really need this tree for her Afib. Maybe there is a reason I've suddenly become interested in these trees, and maybe I was supposed to see your video. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you we donated to the Arbor Day foundation and got sent two of these trees and you really helped me understand about them - excited to plant them now!
What a beautiful presentation. You have inspired a lot of curious tree lovers for sure. I loved this! You are truly a great story teller and interesting and insightful spirit 🥰
Learned a lot about the hawthorn a humble tree. Didn't know you could use the hawes in so many ways. Have you eaten the new green leaves, they are meant to be peppery! Taste like lettuce to me 😝 Great video thanks.
I live in the willamette valley in Oregon and though ive never been I must say that the scenery is very similar to much of England. Behind my home I have a woods full of hawthorne trees and I had to cut a bunch to make room for a boundary fence. Hopefully if we have fae in the PNW I didnt anger them!
I absolutely love your channel!! and I'm learning a lot of fascinating information about the plants especially when it comes to folklore and magical plants and whatnot , eventhough I consider every plant to have its special and magical properties. Thank you so much again for your beautiful and informative videos, hope to see much more 🙏💚🍀
Very interesting, sir. I planted my first Washing Hawthorn tree last Spring in 2021 - mainly for the birds and beauty of the tree. After watching your video, I might be interested in these berries myself. Hopefully, I can get some cuttings from limbs and grow several from the same tree.
Good video! I got a really nice long hawthorn stick today, going to have a nice knob too on it! They are good for sticks, depending on the individual tree. If they’re in a ravine and they’ve been reaching for the sky they can be very straight. I got one today tall enough for a staff. 👍
When I was a kid we played tag with a BB gun loaded with a Hawthorne thorn. The initial puncture with the thorn didn’t hurt that bad. About thirty minutes later it felt like a sledgehammer had crushed that area.
Thank you Home is where our heart is. I have learnt so much from you guys truly you are fab. Thank you very much I have made your famous Hawkthorn Ketchup sooooo tasty. 😍😋👅
I just recently discovered your channel and so far all your videos i've watched have been super informative and just really nice and interesting. Thanks! We're in Italy (although I'm from London and my husband's Irish) and we have a load of hawthorns here. I'd heard the fairy story about blackthorn too...definitely those fairies were a bit tricky...
I been advised today to get one of there and with your presentation as made me want it for the birds! Thanks for your advice and facts and folklore and identification. I have always been told to never eat these so now seeing your video Im confused! Can you confirm I can as I have git one today to plant and hope in years to come will be able to eat! Its a Hawthorn - crataegus pauls scarlet I did ask the person I got it from and they said they have no clue you can only birds!! Thanks for your video!
The berries are abundance and tast tarter sweet like mini crab apple, I eat a lot raw berries daily as alternative to fruits. I guess the reason for not commercially viable, not selling as fruits in market are 1 shelf life, the berries go mushy very quickly after picking off. 2 hard pits, not a quick easy snack.
Cool video, thanks. :).. I'm hoping to find a Hawthorn tree somewhere where it is a declared weed.. we can't access them because of its reputation south of me, bbut tere's not a Haw in sight wehre I am.. sad.. I ise the hawthorn capsules for heart medicine, but I'd rather pick my own leaf, flower and berries :) Now off to see what you have to share about nettles.. Thank you! :)
@@homeiswhereourheartis I'm in subtropical Australia, and even with cold stratification in the fridge for months I've had no luck germinating, even though I can germinate most species with success.. I think it will have to be a seedling or even better, a cutting.. I'm going to try to track down people who live in cooler areas just a few hours away :)
I have one in my garden was going to cut it down but after watching you i will keep it i said a few years back to my husband buy me something nice he came back with a shrub i was very disserpointed when it grow it flowers never smelt it but will leave it be
holy macreal. what a history. and did you say cyanid???? but as far as the berries go they sound amazing in a jam. but those jaggers. look like they could do some damage. oooooofffff. smelled like the plague. I think the fairies would see quite the revenge if you try to take their tree. always awesome to see you guys and learn so much. much love from the states
Yes cyanide 🤣 but it's such a small amount nothing like the levels of cyanide we think of secret agents having in the wars lol. Much love to you from England 😁

I love the smell of hawthorn! Is this a genetic thing, like some people think coriander tastes like soap?
Thank you!
Your welcome 🙂
Beautiful video thank you!

Love your videos. I was picking hawthorn berries for first time today. Next spring i must pick a few leaves and flowers for making tea.

Can you do the majestic oak tree next please? Adore your channel ❤️

Is this the white Hawthorne, also called Washington Hawthorne?

Thanks for watching Andrew, we love the Hawthorn berries too ✌❤
Hello there, beautiful guitar on this, who/what is the tune?
It's called the long walk by Jamie Norwood
Do you sell the Hawthorne berries or products?

Wow, where is this plant? I mean which part of England? I live in UK?
Grows all over 😁
Hey :) i heard it was best to harvest the Hawthron berries after the first frost. In your experience, do you find that to be true?
I find that to be true with Rosehips but now Hawthorn 🙂
the walnuts trees are vengeful.
why they often look stunted and weathered?
holy macreal. what a history. and did you say cyanid???? but as far as the berries go they sound amazing in a jam. but those jaggers. look like they could do some damage. oooooofffff. smelled like the plague.
