There is no need to remove that bleed plug, just loosen it. The slot in the threads is there to allow the air to easily escape. Leaving it in will greatly reduce the spillage from it, as soon as coolant spurts out you just tighten it back up. There is also no need to monitor with a scan tool since the car has a gauge.

@@billypeterson9284 Nope. That plug is exposed to full coolant temp so there's no way that loosening it with a warm engine melted it.

Oil filter housing. Dorman makes aluminum ones as well as aluminum thermostat housing and heater hose kit. All must haves for these plastic mopars.

How come with my 3.6 L Chrysler 200 convertible every morning I have to burp the system? And sometimes it’s like almost impossible to get water or coolant out of the bleeder screw. And I’ll have no heat. But then if I keep going like with the garden hose it will start pouring out of the bleeder screw but why do I have to do this every day? What do you think could be going on? And why is air always trapped in the system when it sits overnight?

I don't have a radiator cap on my 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and I just replaced the radiator yesterday. Today, after driving, the coolant was boiling and going up and down in level in the tank. How do I get rid of the air on my car cooling system?

I do need help guys. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 3.6 Tradesman, I've change the radiator it had a crack, I change thermostat, screw bleed and burp it. The coolant jumps a lot from 219-234F, lately is maintaining at 224-228F then jumps to 234F and sometimes may had reached to 240F. Engine oil stays along with the coolant temperature variable. Transmission oil goes 194-204F. Is it the water pump? I haul every day. I bought this truck in 2020 in two years I highly doubt might be the water pump but I am on my 80ks miles.

      Is this normal 🤷‍♂️?

Water coming from your exhaust is a sign of a well functioning catalyst system. Water vapor is brought into the engine through the air intake system and filtered out by your exhaust system.

absolutely wrong and a mess... with the vehicle off, just fill the reservoir til the full mark, squeeze the lowest coolant hose, until you build pressure, then hold the squeeze on the hose while unscrewing the bleeder screw just a bit until you hear the air come out, then tighten the screw, and repeat the steps until coolant comes out of the bleeder screw. fill the reservoir as needed. final step is to have the vehicle running until operating temp., shut the vehicle off, let it cool down, open the radiator cap to let the rest of the air thats trapped in there out. screw back on and you are good to go.
