"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Great reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds on the recent tours were going nuts! There is an official live video from NEX_FEST in November last year you would enjoy - and Momometal adds a little extra to her Kabuki Theatre section. This is what Tom Morello (from Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave) had to say about this collaboration: "I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I've been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of 'Metali!!' I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!" There are many similarities between this and the 'Megitsune' official video from 2013 - both were directed by the same person, 'Megitsune' was shot at a Shrine in Tokyo. These are two of their most Japanese origin songs. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a made up word, a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (Japanese summer festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is also in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all fools - the fools who watch and the fools who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all fools why just watch, we may as well all dance.
Nice one! I love this song! *Song Title:* Metari - pronounced “Metali”. Word mash of Metal + Matsuri (festival). *“They’re making a mess!”:* Babymetal rebels against the “high-brow” tradition of etiquette and “exclusivity” of upper class tea house by including all the “plebs and commoners” to come together to sing and dance because this is a Metal-Fest. *Tom Morello:* Lead guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. He is a legend! *Their chants:* _Wasshoi! Dokkoisho!_ = Similar to “Come on! / Let’s go!” These words are used as an encouraging chant as a group of people lifts and carries parade floats during traditional Japanese Festivals. *Suggestion:* YOU NEED TO REACT TO THE LIVE!! _Metali (Legend MM 2024):_ Kami Band solo intros, Momo scream, crowd engagements, etc. MV is good, but you’re missing a lot w/o the live! 🤘🦊
Dokkoisho, dokkoisho! BABYMETAL HAS GOT THEIR KAWAII BACK!!! (And I sincerely hope that they don't misplace it again!) (This music video would have been so much better had they not had Vin Diesel in the background wearing a panama hat and pretending to play guitar. 😁 ) Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
This song is not in my top 5 (top 10 tho) but this one threw me into the foxhole a year ago (literally a year) and it's so special for me and SO DAMN FUN live
Yes, SU has its own characteristics that other idol groups don't have. If other idol groups try to look beautiful in front of the camera but SU doesn't, I don't think SU is good at showing her own elegance in front of the camera. So it is the job of a professional cameraman/photographer to be able to capture the expressions shown by SU. because Su is used to changing his expression quickly
