Good reaction. This is effectively their first collaboration. Kiba of Akiba were a death-pop band and they released a joint EP with each band covering the other's song. BABYMETAL did 'Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai' while Kiba of Akiba covered 'Doki Doki Morning'. This really does show off the kawaii so well, but I always find myself holding my breath waiting for those last notes from Su-metal while BOH does his runs on the bass behind her.🎸
⚡ 💀 💕 / 📺 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' was an early single for BABYMETAL. Actually a joint single with the death pop band Kiba of Akiba, the original artist. Backed with the BABYMETAL song 'Iine!', the Kiba of Akiba song 'Party @the BBS' and a Kiba of Akiba cover of the BABYMETAL song 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. A really strange cover of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. : ) What's especially charming for me is that this joint single featuring a death pop band, was released to promote the 'Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo: Friends' album. Just think that's hilarious. IMO, 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' is probably their best cover song. Unlike any other BABYMETAL cover, it's been performed live over twenty times. Other than the two Judas Priest songs (Painkiller & Breaking the Law), I can't think of any other covers they've done that had live Kami Band accompaniment. And of course it has it's own MIKIKO designed choreography. One of the cutest. Lots of great Yui and Moa parts in this one. And boy can Su hold a note. Even when she was sixteen. Hopefully you got that the word in the title was "anime". It's repeated thirty-one times in the song. : )
Aaah, good to see a reaction to this gem. Yui and Moa were just extra adorable, and Su surprised the hell outa me with those long notes when ai first watched this song. 👏👏 amazing! 🤘🦊
