    What did you think of the performance? We were actually pretty shocked it didn’t break apart I gotta say it’d pass one shot!
    What are your thoughts 🤌🏽🤌🏽

    They are replaceable blades and it did properly open. The blades did bend but didn't snap in half. For an expandable broadhead I'd call that a win in my book. That deer would definitely be dead.

    I use to test broadheads and at one time had a website dedicated to it. I have seen the evolution of mechanical heads from really crappy to some that are excellent. I have killed a good number of deer with a bow, and used mechanicals as well a various fixed blade heads over the years. I now shoot 2 blade heads. I like something in the 1 1/4" cutting diameter and get them as sharp as possible. With my setup I can punch through the shoulders on a deer with no problems and still get into the vitals. With solid vital hits the deer go down as fast as you would expect. A bad hit, like in the guts is bad news for any head. I aim for the front 1/4 of the animal in what Ranch Fairy refers to as the "vital V".
    I have lost deer with mechanicals when hitting the shoulder, which is why I personally don't shoot them anymore. For my style of hunting and shot placement a good 2 blade head works best. They are also easy to sharpen. I honestly don't think there is much difference between a double bevel and single bevel heads when it comes to deer and black bear size animals. Maybe for elk or moose? I really enjoy the channel, and keep up the good work.

    This is the exact reason why i shoot single bevel fixed blades, with high quality steel. The plan b setup i call it. I will shopt sevr once and a while but not very often.

    I never reuse a broadhead anyways. Slight bend don’t bother me. I just shot a doe with a MegaMeat and entry hole was 3”

      Nice! I don’t reuse mechanicals either it’s not what they are made for lol

    Beening real with you I have shot 3 deer with the g5 M meat and it has made some of the best blood I have seen and shoots very well

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could imagine that! We can’t shoot them as they are illegal in NY any barbed head is a no go here
      I’ve heard these leave some gnarly wound channels and in our gel tests they were lights out

    Complain all you want. The first deer I shot with a 125 mega meat, went through shoulder blade, complete pass through, and the buck went less than 15 yds. It looked like someone poured blood from a 5 gallon bucket. I only had to straighten one blade, and I resharpened the blades, and that broadhead is still in my quiver to be used again.

    I have shot 3 deer with these and it destroyed all of them hitting ribs and bent the ferrules on two but they will kill deer but at 20 bucks each they are definitely not worth the money.

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya that’s extremely pricey, i was curious if we’d get comments about rib hits with them I didn’t think they’d last two deer if they caught a rib which I mean mechanicals really are designed for multiple deer so by no means am I suggesting that as a failure

    I think the best mechanical broadheads are the sevr 1.5 imo. Cool test

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      They are pretty legit any of the grim reapers or that sevr 1.5 is solid
      But there is no best Broadhead as there is to many variables depending on the setup
