Nice to see your review. My wife and I are a couple of people who assemble G5 broadheads (at work and in our livingroom/ I also build Prime bows). Keep it up and good hunting👍🏼
Just shot a solid 8 with a g5 dead meat, 64 lb rx7, Easton sonic 340, 50 grain brace insert, nocturnals paired with the dead meat is devastating. 283 fps, believe arrow weight is 408. Seems to be working great. Thanks for the review
These are the best broadheads for me… I’m not changing anything till I have something bad happen. But it’s been three or four years now with many deer down. Most of the time leaving a blood trail all the way to a dead body of the animal.
I finally switch from the rage to G5 after 5 years bow hunting. They are awesome. I wish i switch up quicker but better now than neva. All the hype was worth it. The rage collar seem not to hold the blade tight and its rattle alot causing possible pre deployment. But g5 collar has tighter tolerance
I have always wanted to shoot these and literally the only thing stopping me was people saying the blades break easy. Now you haven’t had that issue with them and I can live with bending blades. Might need to give them a shot. I’m also curious about the new 2 blade g5 is coming out with called the T2 . Good review as well !!
Great video... Great info... Used a NAP Spitfire Edge mechanical on a doe at 18 yards, bow weight was 60ish... Arrow over 400 grains... 27 inch draw... Had a complete pass through... I personally do like mechanical broadheads...
Just took a big 3x3 blackmail opening day. Totally devastating. Got both lungs and sliced the top of heart. Great blood trail. Definitely will use again....and I'm a Grim Reaper guy.
Love these Broadheads. Be aware on putting them in your quiver. If you push them too far in you can actually partially deploy a blade. I had this happen and the arrow sounded like a bottle rocket as it flew over the back of a nice 8 PT. Just dbl check. It’s user error not the broadhead.
This is the only broad head I use love the 125 grain with a 50 grain outcert killed 2 last year shooting 60 lbs 29.5 inch arrows at 40-45 yards and had complete pass throughs on both went less than 30 yards
I shoot a Matthews DXT at 62# and 27" DL. 500 grain GT arrow at 28" and prolly 13 to 15 % FOC.. will my set up deploy the megameat? West Texas whitetail and feral hogs 25 yards and under.
My buddy had tried these things. He said they would flip open every time he removed them from his quiver. Tried a couple of other quivers same thing. He threw them away
Put the red clips on them they are stiffer made for crossbows but work just fine. Also look into tight spot quivers you can adjust the quiver ( arrow notch/lock point) with Allen. Makes it super nice so u don’t have to burry ur broad head into foam etc. I traced my quiver, cut a piece of yoga mat to get and inserted it into the tight spot quiver. Few drops of hot melt glue and boom super silent and solves board head chatter and adds next to no weight to the quiver.

I’ve never owned a prime bow but your broadheads are my favorite by far , keep making good products and I will be around! Thank you for watching!
Thanks to you and your wife for making awesomely engineered and built products. I own 2 Primes bows and a bunch of broad heads.

Right on!! They are my favorite broadhead!
finally a review where someone can shoot, i had the same experience with my bmp vs field point, very similar maybe a hair low but still kill zone
Haha I dont know about alll that but thank you! They are great broadheads! Thank you for watching!

I will be doing a review on them as well! They look like good broadheads as well. Thank you for your support!
I shot 3 so far this season with the megameat. All pass through and no lost or bent blades

3x3 blackmail never heard of that! Glad you had good success
Crap sorry don't have my glasses on....We got Blacktail not blackmail....deer here in California..
Oh ahah! I gotcha! Well Heck yea! Glad you got a good one! Id like to shoot a blacktail!

I had that happen to me while I was pulling arrow to shoot a doe! Lesson learned and never happened again.

Heck yea! Right on , I stand by them as the best mechanical on the market!
Yeah I will not shoot another broad head
Considering going to a 75 grain outcert
@@dennis10721 I would thats what I shoot. VAP Tko 300 with 75 grain
So 60#’s 28.5” draw I should be good to shoot these?
Yes absolutely! These would work great for you!
@@TechnicallyOutdoors715 awesome thank you buddy. Great video too
@@stevenhicks815 Thank you! No need to thank me your support is more then enough!
I am guessing. You shoot hoyt
Do they work with crossbows too?
Yes , they have crossbow special collars that go on the heads!
Do these shoot the same as a regular field point ?
Yessir! For me anyway! If you watch the video you’ll see!
What kind of draw weight and draw length? And hows penetration been
74 Pounds 30 inch draw length. Ive gotten full penetration consistently.
Do they make them for crossbow
Yes they do! If you go to a retailer they will say crossbow on the package as well as a red collar.
How do these work for quartering shots?
If you watch my video on my big buck , you will see! They do great!
I am going to get me two pack of them !
Yessir! Do it , you wont regret it one bit!
try the mega meats
Just took a buck deer got 130 yards and expired however blades did not deploy.
Huh, thats odd Ive never had one fail ever. How much are you pulling?
I shoot a Matthews DXT at 62# and 27" DL. 500 grain GT arrow at 28" and prolly 13 to 15 % FOC.. will my set up deploy the megameat? West Texas whitetail and feral hogs 25 yards and under.
I have cut squirrels in half with G5 and taken turkey heads off with one shot
They are by far my favorite broadhead! Killer heads for sure , im glad you’ve had good success! Thanks for watching!
My buddy had tried these things. He said they would flip open every time he removed them from his quiver. Tried a couple of other quivers same thing. He threw them away
This breaks my heart they are amazing!
This happens to me as well.

Not that hard to pop the blades back into the collar.
cut-on-contact is having a blade at the tip. this is a bone-crushing tip.
It definitely does that but with that tip being beveled it is physically a cut on contact!
@@TechnicallyOutdoors715 isn't it a chisel-tip?
Cut-on-contacts can cut paper on a paper test.
@@zzz7zzz9 honestly I think its kind of both. It would definitely cut a paper if ran across one but I see what you are saying.
It's not really mechanical to me compared to grim reaper
The megameat is a mechanical!
Junk !
Nope! I love them!
60 yards that is not a good group..
Thank you
