I personally really enjoy goths, and there's not too many civs that have such a unique character to them. They have become a well recognised feature of the game. An all or nothing high risk high reward option should be a worthy part of any game, as well as a versatile yet fairly underpowered option as its counterpart e.g. Chinese/ malians. Outside of infantry I believe calvary archers are the only option for goths to surprise an enemy.
In 1v1, i´ll do anything for the goth or gurjara player would nevere reach castle age :D I was suprised that goths actually get hand canons and bombards which is little bit OP considering they can easily aford huscarls spam which is siege on its own.

You can look at resources at each point in time or cumulative resources, and is even broken down by resource type. Same thing with military and villagers as well. Goth and Slavic LS in Castle have almost the same food cost (Goth 42, Slav 45), being equal. But Goth also have lower gold cost. Villese has constantly too few on Gold, and he was selling food for gold. He has enough farmers. Gold was the problem.
30% less per infantry unit in castle age: (60 food, 20 gold) -> (45 food, 14 gold). 300 infantry units at regular price cost as much as 430 infantry units at the reduced price. Or: If both players made 300 Long Swordsmen, then the Goth player spent 4500 less food and 1800 less gold.
Villese made a huge mistake by moving away from his barracks. All he had to do was sit near his production buildings and produce, once he gets to 30 longswords + 10 scorpas he kills everything. Plus he is never going to do damage at MBLs base with his own longswords
Let’s say there was a mod called “infantry wars” the mod disables constructing stable, and range gallery buildings (like meso civs with stable), and removes unique units that are not infantry (for example Huns don’t get their UU, but goths do). Which civs do you think would dominate this mod? Aztecs seem obvious, maybe teutons too? I think monk and siege civs would be interesting too.

Wouldn't light cavalry be a good idea once Villese was running out of gold? 80 HP and 7 attack puts up a decent fight against a longsword and slavs have that nice farm bonus. And you just need to research three or four extra techs to flip into LC.
I think Vilesse delayed his castle placement too much (he had already >1000 stone, when he started building it), otherwise it could turn the tides. By the way, is druzhina an imperial age upgrade? Is there no call to switch into crossbows as villese? Take too much time and res? I think maybe I switch too much in games instead of committing. But I always like to go to the direct counters.
Anything crossbows can do against infantry, scorpas do better (and cheaper). Doubly so as Slavs. If Villese made any mistake here, it was being too aggressive and continuously losing small numbers of scorpions. I imagine if he camped once he got the TC in the middle and built up a dozen scorps, he would have won.
I can't believe I saw that. It- it should've gone the other way! Slavs also have cheap infantry. He had all that siege. He had a better eco. Ther- there's just no way- Goths don't even get perfusion until Imp.. There's just no way that shouldn't have worked for Slavs...
MBL stop queueing vills could get more military, he managed to cash in on his military momentum before Villese could use his better eco. Goths have faster working barracks as team bonus.
Aren't Goths swordsmen around 20 food cheaper? In that case 300 units lost times 20 food is 6000 food, which is roughly the difference between food gathered.
Knights would require more food and gold investment than infantry, they would require armour upgrades as well... I don't think it would have worked, unless he could somehow raid MBL's eco.... but that would mean giving up the gold in the centre to do the tech switch first. And, would be less wood for farms... as he built the needed stables.
Imagine if Villese had spent that money on crossbow instead of scorps..... Or on more longswords... Really the scorps were not good here, too slow to produce and micro.

The audio popping issue seems to start with this video, last youtube video from t90s channel was still fine.

Siege weapons would be cheating, but siege towers should be allowed, of course.
