Captian This was absolutely amazing. Comparing these to each other using fact and numbers was fabulous. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put this together. Grest work. Bangarang
This is so timely. I just received 4 off brand (like your Little Valentines) rockets in the mail and I'm so surprised at how far they actually shoot out of the Demolisher, about 38 feet . They actually spin in the air from the fins on the rockets. Very happy with them. Another great video from you! Got 4 for $8.99.
first thing I did when I got the modulus tri-strike was buy 4 3-packs of these because I knew they'd be a pain to find someday. the "plop" sound they make kind of like a real grenade launcher is also just fun.
I bought two sets of four 'Little Valentine-esq' rockets from Aliexpress last year (they aren't branded as LV but their construction matches your observations). Asides from the re-donk-ulous shipping delay, I've got no complaints with them. No ruptures from higher-FPS blasters, but they fly off in every direction possible.
Thanks for this, MUCH appreciated! As a rocket flinger myself; i ran into a similar issue. I got the first knockoff missiles in november via AliExpress and they look like the donated missile you received. Worked ok. SO I ordered a few more in march and lo and behold - they look identical but the ID of the missil was much reduced and so mine ruptured as well, same in a HAMP as in an XBZ. Same vendor, same order number etc. So I think the Little Valentines are identical to the AliExpress ones. They suffer from a change of source material. Whatever they use to mill (!) rhe missiles out has changed. Only way to make them work: Store them two weeks on a Hamp. Then the material is widened enough that you can fire them.
I'm so glad someone has finally realized the usefulness of the barrel grenade system! It's an incredibly effective system for nerf since you don't have any of the issues you have in real life with that kind of system!
Solely for your amusement; I tend to like making mods that are either silly and pointless or just unecessary. But I was thinking about the Stryfle and thought "But what I really want is a rocket, not Mega. I BET I COULD USE THE DEMOLISHER HAMP AND PUT IT ON THE STRYFE!" I had literally sat down to think about how I needed to do the cutting before I realized "Oh. Wait. WAIT. Right."
@Captain Xavier This video was very informative... And totally left me with a hilarious mental image of Brett running around at a war with nothing but a tennis racket and a pillow case full of rockets, yelling "BAP!!!" every time he 'fired' one at somebody. :D
I’ve had problems with little valentine too. I bought a 200 pack of waffle heads, and they either didn’t put enough glue on the tips, or the glue sucked. The heads kept popping off of the darts when I fired them or took them out of the magazine. The also just caused a bunch of jams. They are NOT a good company to buy nerf stuff from.
Over twist can cause to much spin. The gyroscopic procession can force the axis of rotation to be different from the axis of flight. The effect was an issue on early smokeless small bore rifles and modern small arms. Lighter mass and higher velocity paradoxically need slower spin rates to be stable. But my reading on ballistics is a few years out of date and from memory I could be wrong.
I managed to get little Valentines to fire out of a hamp, you just had to REALLY mean it. Also they shot like laser beams I actually dented my dryer at 30 feet. Love what you do, keep being awesome bangarang
I bought a blaster similar to the Spy gear one, and it exploded the little valentines that I bought. Unfortunately, I bought them before I saw this video. Now I know where to get better quality missiles, so thank you
I had my eyes on the Fortnite GL blaster coming out..I like how it looks (minus the eye searing yellow) as I'm a fan of the rotary drum style GL and this thing will be much cheaper than buying an airsoft one and shells for it. This vid will help me save a bit more money as well..considering it's coming out around the time my big game preorders come in (AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk) I need to save as much as I can.
its not that the hamp is a bad choice but rather that the plunger tube doesnt have a seal until the last inch. a floating o-ring fixes the problem and makes it quite scarry for shield users
I didn't know about the other off brand rockets, so I bought a box of the Little Valentine rockets for my modded Panther. Burst them all. Bought another box. Burst all of those too. Meanwhile, the old Buzz Bee rocket I thrifted is still just fine.
It's a real disappointment that Hasbro no longer produces the original Elite Missiles(Demolisher Rockets) When they aren't thoroughly used the build quality on them is amazing.
I always wondered if you integrated a heat shield in and modded them with additional weight, you might be able to use cut down A type rocket motors to make them actual rockets. (You would have to remove the parachute charge so it wouldn’t light the actual demolisher rocket on fire) Ludicrously unsafe to the point that its more a foam firework then a toy missile, but it would be pretty cool nevertheless
What if you tried firing an elite or half dart or whatever with the rocket so it doesn't have just the short post for air to gather pressure, you have the fast firing projectile slamming into the back and launching it?
@@CaptainXavier fair was just an idea that came to mind. Thank you tho for being an inspiration as well as creating something to look forward to and for making content that's really helping my mental health I think
Doubles Badminton but with the rockets, and is an elimination style game. All "onside" landings eliminate an opposing team member each, and "offside" landings do the same to your team.
I was looking at buying the Tri-Strike missile launcher, as well as missile refills. This will be perfect in helping me figure out which brand could be best!
In order to get the little valentine to work, you have to leave it inside the demolisher rocket launcher for a certain period of time to stretch out the foam so it doesn’t rupture.
Mod Commission: cut missile launcher off of demoslisher for primary, integrate missile launcher on retaliator/rekon mk 2 similar to how coop772 did. use this as secondary.
What I do for my rockets are that I have a sniper near by pirched up so I can fire without being hit and then I load my rockets into my tri strike launcher then i load it then i Tarim it up at an 80 degree angle and I usually get like 5 players at a time

Looked through and the displayed comments didn't have it listed but the thing about little valentine is they are too tight out of the box. 24 hours on a demolisher bed and they are fantastic for off brands. That is likely the loose fitting rocket you got was.
Captain, are/when you taking blasters for diagnostic and repairs? (I have a speed load 6 with a weak catch and a firefly with 2 stripped screws (I just want them fixed I don't care if they make it to a video) )
I have a question. Is there a way to add a film to these to help prevent rupture? No idea what we can use but it may help save rockets. As long as it's safe too of course
Cap do you not have a thunderstorm it fired the demolisher rockets and it had 3 rockets bundled in also the refill packs were made for the thunderstorm but were discontinued because of the blaster being well discontinued

@@CaptainXavier Ha! Fair. It just would be nice to know if the knock offs are worth getting even though I already have the buzz bee ones. Maybe I'l just have to suck it up and buy the Aevdors myself as a test.
