Hi!! Out of the box I would say the Rainy75 is very well tuned and quieter than Hi8. I tried linears on hi8 but its still quite louder than the Rainy75. Also Hi8 has a knob while Rainy doesn't. Overall, If you want something ready to use out of the box without the hassle of getting keycaps and switches, go for the rainy. But if you wanna dive into picking your keycap theme and try a specific switch, then go for the Hi8. Can't go wrong with either :) Cheers!
Were you able to get the fn key to stop glowing red when using in USB mode? The fn key acts as a charging indicator but it stays on even in usb mode. It's supposed to turn off when it reaches full power but I've had the board plugged in for 24 hours and it's still red.
Hii! Unfortunately no. You are right, its the charging indicator and in my experience it does stay like that while on USB mode. Mostly just been using my Hi8 via 2.4ghz dongle these days.
@@SqueakyTypes The indicator did eventually turn off. I found out that the rgb uses so much power on max brightness that my computer can't charge the battery faster than the rgb drains it. If I set the rgb to minimum brightness, however, the indicator turns off and stays off. Minimum brightness is still pretty bright so I'm fine with it.
I've noticed the placement the right fn and alt on your keyboard, are those keys actually are working? because I've recently bought a Hi8, but on the right of spacebar instead of alt I have Fn and instead of Fn I have control key, I'm on windows mode by the way. I've noticed this is the default key layout as well on the box, if they are working like this, did you remap them and how?
Hii! Hi8 has its own software to program and remap keys. I learned about it after I made this video. you can refer to this: www.reddit.com/r/BudgetKeebs/comments/19081fp/comment/khh8i52/?rdt=59774
Straight to the point, thanks for the video
Wow..sounds so good!
Can you advise where can i download the manual of this Hi8 online? I just lost the paper, thanks 🙏🏼!
Im not quite sure but is there a specific setting you wanna know? I'll try to help with it
Whats your thoughts on this vs rainy75. What one is quieter and what's the sound profile differences. Cheers!

Also, the reactive effects drain even more battery. I can turn up the brightness if I don't use a reactive effect.
@@TheNewSkai I see. Personally I prefer not having any RGB lights on and I haven't charged in like 2 weeks >.

@@SqueakyTypes I'm a fan of the NK keycaps. I got the sand, stone, ember, heisenberg, and ghostbustin. They're clearance is insane for the price.
@@DadTech1981 I also got mine on clearance for $15 a piece! Also got the Sand. waaaaayyy too good for the price!
@@SqueakyTypes yeah it's a no brainer
