NL, take the teleporter. You can telefrag shop owners to not anger them and gain acess to their items. The teleporter can teleport you a max of 8 blocks, the same length as a shop.
at 7:40 yes you COULD use all those recources and then loose the mattock due to time.. or you could quickly run up. get the mattock. very quickly handle with the key on spikes situation. get trough that wall that the chest is behind in like 2 seconds. and get out of there with all your bombs and ropes and the mattock. NL your incompitence in thinking on the level of even a fish is amazing.

You really need to sacrifice the damsel twice every run. The kapala is probably the best item in the game and it fits your playstyle really well. It's the easiest way to get more health after dying in the ice caves.

NL, you can die from falling into the abyss and still be revived inside the head! So stop wasting ropes there! Also you should explore the level with the head since it doesn't matter if you get killed while doing that and if you carry Monty to the normal exit before dying, you will get the extra heart from Monty after you go through the exit inside the head.
I hate that the spiders never stop jumping but the controls aren't that bad and you can use a wired xbox controller and you can even configure the controls for the controller and keyboard separately.

Your score must not go above 0. You can accidentally pick up treasure on so many occasions. The paradox of Spelunky is that however trollish it can be, dying is always the player's fault.
Like 99% of the time, sometimes you legit get screwed over, like going into a jungle floor and immediately getting hit by a boomerang man.

You can't throw them perfectly straight but you can throw them higher if you look up and throw. But that's advanced spelunkying 101.

the shopkeppers shots will hurt each other so technically having 8 shopkeepers are easier to deal with than 1

On the PC version rushing water is super easy. The giant piranha can be killed with a whip, let alone a shotgun.
For the love of God, NL, you can break pots with your whip, and if there's an enemy inside that'll die in one hit, it'll die.
